MUGGLE ROCK'N'ROLL! I've been teething on rock since I was knee-high to a Pygmy Puffskein. I love the theatrics of Queen, the spunky attitude of No Doubt, and the dark broodingness of Bush.
So I wanted to melt all of that in with the other major influence: Harry Potter! Harry Potter humor, Harry Potter drama! What's Umbridge's inner monologue? Why is Albus so intrigued by wool socks? Is there a MISTER McGonnagal? Has there ever been a brown-haired Weasely? Did Voldemort enjoy curling up with a good book before a roaring fire after a day of tyranny? I question, I write, I wrock!

Feeling like Colin Creevey on his first day at Hogwarts, and reaching new heights of fanatic fandom, I DID IT ! First, I identified with a house (HuffleTOUGH through and through!). Second, I secretly hoped something would actually happen when I first flicked my wand. And finally... wait, I'm getting ahead of myself!
Cravings for Rowling's masterpieces panged in me since I first cracked the Sorcerer's Stone, but after I turned the final page of Deathly Hallows, it morphed from pangs to rabid hunger. What was I to do with no more novels? What other author could possibly compare? What the heck is Harry reaching for?
After devouring the book over a nearly sleepless weekend, I longed for more Potter. I started to ramble obsessively about the books to my friends Richard and Ambrosia, who brought something most magnificently and musically magical to my attention: wizard rock! So, hopelessly hooked on Harry, I crafted some song ideas with loops, love, and a spell or two.
