On Jan 12,2009 Levi Luna and Robert Garibay Decide to start up a group and they called it The Gooniees from that day forward , they committed there self's to djing and never gave up. The first program they started to use to dj with is virtual dj but isn't that how everyone start's?
They been using that for about 4 months until they came across serato.
From that day they started to use serato, there first club event was DiskoWreck on April 3,2009 . From that day on they started to get booked for more clubs, and house party in the San Bernardino Area but everyone in the party scene use to hate on them and never book them for any event.people use to tell them "why you djing you will never get any where", "stop trying to be like us", "The Gooniees suck", "stop using other people shit and get your own" and other stuff but they never gave up, and also they never had a laptop at all of there own since they started to Dj, they either used a friends or someone at a party that would let them use it, but that never let quit. One day they got booked to go dj in a different scene in total different city which was in Perris, Ca on July 31,2009 and that when everything changed and people start to realize how good they actually were. As time passed, they had booking from left to right and also had double bookings for the same night . Robert would always say "do this first event for free and if they like us they will book us again" and it worked.
ON Aug 19th 2009 on a Wednesday was there other club booking at AUDIO they did good at that event , they had gotham city that same week.On Friday Aug 21st 2009 they had a event at Gotham City, With Guest appearance by Dj Score(The Heist) and Joseph(Your love still haunts me), they djed in the same room also known as room 2, that night was a great night , they had the room packed with people dancing and having a good time.
About 3 weeks later they got there first laptop which was a white macbook and that when they djed for Gotham City again at the Foam Festival on September 11th, 2009 and with Dj Rowdy, Volterra, and many more that night was also a great night for them. That night they became Gotham City new resident along with Dj Rowdy A and Royal Rich.
Now you can see them at Gotham City every Friday holding it down in the Inland Empire for all those party people out there...
