The Horribles 5 Song Ep
BEFORE THE HORRIBLES DISBANDED IN 2005, this WAS their story...
The Horribles we're a collision of two bands that split apart in the cold winter of 1964.
'Saka Loukre' was fronted by Taylor, a Palestineian native who favored the sounds of garage rock and pure noise which was taking over the airwaves at the time.
Another band thousands of miles away, 'The Fits', was burning strong in Iceland where bassist and vocalist Ammo and drummer, Chaos, we're tearing up the pop charts.
With the fall of Palestine in the early 1960's, Saka Loukre were forced into hiding in fear of being taxed on recording royalties.
In January of 1964, Taylor fled Palestine and went to Nova Scotia to form a new life and band.
That same month. The Fits were touring Nova Scotia on the recent success of thier hit single, " I'm a man, I'm a woman" when they're plane crashed into the mountains killing all members of the power pop quintet except for Ammo and Chaos.
Without a band or a way home, Nova Scotia held them for scientific research until they we're able to pay for the rebuilding of the mountain.
Two days later, Taylor, with no money or home, wandered into the research institute looking to be compensated for expiermental testing.
All three were chriogenically (spelled waaaaaay wrong) frozen to test the effects of super human psychosis immune adapatability personification theries within 4 hours of each other.
The instiute was closed in 1978 due to lack of funding and the tubes housing the frozen humans, forgotten.
When Nova Scotia was attacked by Sweden or Switzerland (who remembers anyway) in 1986, the institute was gutted, and all contents were confiscated and transported to Denmark.
For 17 years, the tubes sat in a militay holding lot until the climate stripping rotted, and the tubes we're opened.
Out stepped 3 individuals, and fuck...did they smell Horrible.
