The language of music is recognized as an influential, effective method of communication in today’s society and the hip-hop genre is one of its biggest forms. Hip-hop has a prominent effect on today’s youth and young adults, and with the bombardment of negative music that the mainstream market is pushing to the public there is a need for change.
The move to incorporate hip hop music, using Christian lyrics, has hit a niche in a new listening audience and is well received by young adults and some religious leaders across the country. Using the powerful influence of this form of hip-hop and the internet, Life.Cypha established an online resource tool that offers a gateway into the lifestyle of this growing form of hip-hop.
The Life.Cypha web portal pledges to be the source for quality entertainment with a positive message. Our mission is to expand this continuously growing lifestyle, its artist, their music and most importantly, the message they promote. We plan to do this via the following:
• Up to date press releases
• Product, show and tour reviews
• Concert and artist meet and greet functions
• And more…
The vision for spreading this movement, also called 3H (Holy Hip Hop), came from Life.Cypha founder, Spencer Gray. Since he is repeatedly questioned on where to find quality Christian hip-hop music, he decided to develop a resource tool to show, “what on my iPod” and why.
