    "Marigold Maxixe" is the latest album from The Lives of Famous Men, Alaska-New York transplants by way of Portland, Oregon. Written on the road and rehearsed in a small Portland apartment complex from which the record takes its name, "Marigold Maxixe" recalls its process at every strum and snare hit. Long, reverberating guitar chords evoke the open landscapes of the Interstate highway system and staccato bossa nova rhythms furnish the cramped square footage of a rented room. Produced by Paul Kolderie (Radiohead, Pixies) and featuring performances by multi-instrumentalist Chase Pagan, "Marigold Maxixe" is the richest, most mature offering yet from this promising young group...
