TheSpeedGamers have been streaming video game marathons for over a year to raise money for various charities. In total they have raised over $98,000 dollars and played 14 marathons.

TheSpeedGamers are based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, but have members from around the world.

Who I'd like to meet:

POKEMON MARATHON!

The upcoming Pokemon Marathon starts December 18th at 6:00PM and will run for 72 hours. We will be attempting to catch all 493 Pokemon this time around. We've imported a copy of Pokemon Soul Silver to help with this task. TheSpeedGamers have been streaming video game marathons for over a year to raise money for various charities. In total they have raised over $98,000 dollars and played 14 marathons. They have raised over $50,000 in their week long Final Fantasy Marathon, and have made multiple news appearances. This upcoming marathon will be for www.allyshouse.net/ This charity's is sponsored by Toby Keith (Country music singer-songwriter, record producer and actor), and their mission is to "to help Oklahoma kids with cancer and their families. Donations will be used to help these families through this difficult journey."     Hi! Thanks for accepting. I actually found you guys when you were doing your FF marathon. Mikey Way from My chemical romance twittered to check yous out so I thought yeah I love ff8 and thats what you were on when I joined the webcam/chatroom. It was great fun watching yous and the commentators were brill, (you even earned me an @ on twitter as i thanked mikey and told him 8 was the best and he @agreed :P) good luck with the next one  xxx

    Hey guys! I am glad that you met your goal from this marathon. I plan on watching all of your marathons and would one day love to be playing in one. One of my friends told me about your organization and I never would have thought that something like this existed. I currently play old school NES and my specialties are Mega Man, Zelda, and Contra! I'd like to say thanks for all that you do for the charities that you donate to. Especially St. Jude's! Is the American Cancer Society or the AIDS foundation in your plans for raising money? My mother is a cancer survivor, (Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) and would really like to help. Again, thank you for what you do and keep up the good work!

    Hey TSG, I just wanted to compliment all of you for the awesome job you've done for all these wonderful charities. I think the things you've all done are amazing and extremely inspirational. I've only known about you all and the stuff you do since the Final Fantasy Marathon began and a friend of mine introduced me to it. I've yet to make a donation, but I can guarentee that as soon as I find a job I will become a regular supporter of the cause you all fight for.

    Keep playing, and thanks for being such a bright light in a dark world. Looking forward to more great marathons from all of you.
