Theo prides himself on sounding like no one but himself...
When asked about the title of his debut album Give It All Away, the singer-pianist from Coaldale, Alberta Theo Tams admits “In a way I feel that's what I've done with this record.” The 2008 Canadian Idol Winner is not following the standard Idol formula in releasing his debut album. With a musical background, previous writing experience and a strong desire to put out an album he was truly proud of, Theo was given the gift of time to be more involved in the process to create a debut that truly reflects him as an artist rather than rushing the process. “I wanted to find and write songs that I could be confident with and encapsulated all I wanted to say on my first record, not only lyrically, but stylistically as well” and that’s what he’s done on Give It All Away set for release on Sony Music Canada Entertainment Inc. on May, 19th 2009. “The most important thing I wanted to achieve with this album was to be true to myself because that’s what music is all about.”

Hey theo congratulations on the cd release. It is absolutely amazing. Now I have a whole new bunch of songs to figure out on the piano. They are all going to be fun to learn! I can't wait for some tour dates. I really hope you'll be coming around here. But we always seem to get missed on summer idol tours...I have no idea why. Anyways have a great weekend.
Today's the big day!!! Just finished my online purchase of your CD album. Will have to wait a while before I can listen to it, but when it comes to music carriers I'm very "old school". Prefer to have a physical object containing your music instead of a digital download :) Anyway, the wait for the CD to arrive will make listening to it all that sweeter...
Give It All Away is BEYOND amazing, Theo. Never have I found such true lyrics that were able to break apart my heart, and pull it back together again all in 3 minutes. You are incredible, please keep inspiring us, and finding your own inspiration. <3

Hey there. :) Less than a week to go for your album release now! Finally, right?... :p I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we have been so anxious and curious to hear all your songs. Bet you're (getting) a bit nervous also (don't lie now ;). Anyway, I haven't forgotten about you, buddy!
