From the new album HERE COMES SCIENCE:

The video to "Electric Car" has just been posted on youtube and we would love for you to check it out. It was directed by the brilliant folks at Tiny Inventions, sung by the ever-wonderful Robin Goldwasser, and features the ever-powerful Tricerichops Horns (along with some mellotron for good measure) This is the link! And please tell your friends!

They Might Be Giants have WON ANOTHER GRAMMY!

Yes, it's true. Very happy and proud to announce that TMBGs latest children's project, Here Come The 123s, won the Grammy for Best Musical Album for Children! Glory and props to all who helped the band get there!

TMBG is now on facebook

ABOUT TMBG, THEIR NEW ALBUM and FREE STUFF:

They Might Be Giants is a band from Brooklyn, New York that was founded twenty five or so years back by John Linnell and John Flansburgh. We perform frequently, make videos and podcasts, and do a fair amount of television work.

We have a new album out Sept. 1st. It's called Here Comes Science.

The songs AND the videos will be out for one very low price on iTunes, although we won't have that information until moments before its availability.

Amazon is ready for your pre-order right now--here is the link-
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002FKZ4UO

-and we are pretty positive if you order tonight you will see the full-length DVD and CD set in your mailbox on Sept. 1 or 2. They are REALLY good at getting the robots to work overnight there at Amazon. And the price is nuts there too--just ten bucks for a full length DVD and CD combo pack.

You might not know we got a a bona fide Grammy in 2002 for the theme to Malcolm in the Middle, and we do the music for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (we recorded Bob Moulds theme, and wrote and recorded all the bombastic orchestral music with our bombastic orchestral friends).

We also have two free podcasts--an audio one for adults featuring rarities, original stuff and live recordings here.

And we have a kids video podcast here. It's really exactly that easy.

Or you can sign up for TMBGs free mp3 service by clicking here..

We really appreciate all your interest and support, and welcome limericks and haiku from all.

Yr pals----They Might Be Giants

OFFICIAL STUFF:
To be super-clear for the concerned fans-This is the ONLY official They Might Be Giants, John Linnell or John Flansburgh related myspace page. There are simply no others approved by the band, and if you are wondering if that person claiming to be from TMBG from some other page is an imposter--well there's your answer! John Flansburgh and John Linnell are simply not affiliated with ANY other myspace pages. Idlewild Recordings and the band's management run this page on a day-to-day basis. Be assured we don't IM, and we cannot answer even a tenth of the messages sent to this page. THANKS TO ALL!

I loved your show in Seattle, but the Showbox Sodo venue was horrible!!! My friends and I were treated like criminal cattle. But the show was totally worth the misery! Spokane's Knitting Factory would love to see you sometime. Much more comfy. Just sayin'.

To John and John: during the Avatars of They segment of the show last night, you guys had no clue what we were yelling about and called it rude for not paying attention, which was funny. What wasn't funny was someone had fainted and we were yelling for security. Luckily she recovered and was escorted out right before Shoehorn with Teeth, and we were focused on the show once again without worry. But it was a scary moment.

I want to thank Amy and the other girl (I can't remember her name because I was so nervous about being in the front row) for being so nice to us at the Seattle show. I hope your mom had a great birthday. I can't believe we got in the front row. I thought I was going to get escorted out because we followed you guys in thinking everyone was coming in but we were the only people there for about 5 minutes or so! After the opening act, the crew moved Linnell's keyboard just inches from me. Then when they came out I still couldn't believe it! That show was the most fun I have ever had. I noticed that annoying woman stopped yellling drunken remarks so maybe security made her knock it off. She was basically ruining the opening act by embarrasing herself and everyone else. I can't wait for them to come back to Seattle!

Just wanted to say that I was very happy to see you guys in Seattle and it was really great since it was also my birthday yesterday so it was probably the best birthday ever <3 And luckily for me I was pretty close to the front since I'm short.

Wow I was in the front row at the Seattle Flood Show and words cannot describe how incredible it was. Everyone looked great and did such a good job. Got to hear the entire Flood album, a BUNCH of old songs, new songs, and even Fingertips and the Famous Polka! I'm just blown away. Wow!
