MPP believes that the greatest harm associated with marijuana is prison. To this end, MPP focuses on removing criminal penalties for marijuana use, with a particular emphasis on making marijuana medically available to seriously ill people who have the approval of their doctors.
MPP doesn't encourage marijuana use. But our failed marijuana laws cost taxpayers billions of dollars a year, keep police from focusing on real crimes, and fail to keep marijuana away from kids. We believe it's time for a new approach-- taxation and regulation.

Congressman Ron Paul's bill, HR1897, will allow law-abiding gun owners to be able to carry a handgun for self-defense in a national park. The U.S. Constitution is very clear that the federal government (including bureaucrats and politicians) has no authority to deprive Americans of the right to keep and bear arms, even in national parks.
The bureaucracy of the Department of the Interior has arrogantly refused to seriously consider changing its current regulations to allow citizens the right to self-defense, even though crime is on the rise in national parks. There is substantial evidence that criminals do not respect gun-free zones such as national parks and schools. There are sufficient existing laws to punish those who commit a crime with a gun in national parks. So there is no need to criminalize the possession of a self-defense tool in these locations. Congress and the president must act immediately to allow innocent persons to protect their own lives, and those of other innocent persons, in national parks.

Remembere contributions to Ron PAul could be tax deductable. When he wins, he'll "Deduct" the IRS.
The Paul campaign just enlisted another 10,000 volenters after the recent debate, and we've had the Iowa straw pole since then as well. There's lots more people out their then their were when this pledge was 1st created.
It's really important that the official campain raise money as well as grass roots groups. The Mainstream media relaly uses this as a benchmark of ellectability.
If Paul does raise $10,000,000, the Republican Primery will be between just him and Gulliani largely, which means he'll have an excellent shot at winning the nomination -- which makes him a shoe-in for the Presidency.
And when he wins, you'll get all your money back in the form of the IRS being abolished, and every other year thereafater. Post this on your forums, groups, myspace bullitans, etc. Let's really push this pledge. Also don't be afraid to tell people about it offline also.
