It is the quintessential reason why I'm on this planet. If you want to discuss it, rate it, pout about it, debate it, love it or just suggest something I should hear, talk to me. I am a genius when it comes to Jazz, neo-soul, Gospel and oldies. My knowledge of other music is better than average, but those are the ones I know best. I am also the person to talk to about the state that the music industry is in. I can't stand it!!
oh Yeah, and I'm a singer. Not one of those showy "sing every note I know" people. I'm just a REAL down home serious singer. I've been called "a singer's singer"
Movies
too many to name. But I LOVE the following genres: COMEDY, drama, musicals, vampire, horror, thriller, crime drama, thinker (movies that everybody doesn't really understand) and independent movies.

Television
I am a hardcore t.v. watcher. I fall asleep to it. But I don't like everything on it. I'm partial to television where I can learn something either about me or about something I don't know about. I LOVE t.v. shows that are social commentaries ie. Boondocks, The Simpsons and Seinfeld. And well SCRIPTED shows like Heroes, House, Swinging. I HATE the reality t.v. craze because I don't think that everyone should have 15 minutes of fame. That should be reserved for those with an above average amount of talent. A talent for something that people respect which DOES NOT include hula hooping, whistling dixie through your nose or shooting milk out of your eyes. I do, however like some of them: Kid Nation, Janice Dickinson, Iconoclasts
On Discovery: How it's made, Mythbusters, Cash Cab
On Bravo: Project Runway, Matchmaker, Make Me A Supermodel
VH1: I love New York (ugh), The Shot, The Salt And Pepa Show, Run's House, Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood, America's Most Smartest Model. I have extended cable so I like a couple of shows there too. I LOVE Dexter, Bullshit with Penn and Teller on Showtime and Big Love on HBO.
Other than that, re-runs of the good shows: Just Shoot Me, King of Queens, COLUMBO (don't sleep on Columbo), Sex and the City, Cartoons (the real ones) Bugs Bunny etc, The Power Puff Girls, Johnny Bravo, The Batman/Superman Adventures.
And last but certainly not least, I LOVE the classic shows. I STILL watch I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith, The Twilight Zone, Good Times, Sanford and Son and Johnny Carson.

****My Grandma. Her husband has been deceased for nearly 30 years and she never remarried. Instead she chose to see the world that she taught children about for years, yet had never seen. She now shares time between Europe and her home town of Knoxville, TN and seeing Tina Turner wherever she is in the world.
****My Mother. While I'm still learning to like her I definitely respect her. She helped raise 4 women in this world to respect themselves and to look for real love as they make lives and money on their own. And that she can pretty much do anything that she puts her mind to and taught her children to do the same.
