.. .. .. .. .. .... .. ...... .. .. .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .. .... .. .......... .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... ..Growing up in Upstate New York, Jessica Adair Frey was equal parts tomboy and aspiring singer. When she wasn’t putting on shows for the local kids in the neighborhood and her 6 brothers and sisters, Adair often went hunting with her dad Ed. Adair’s father was a strong influence during her early years, and he always encouraged her to pursue her dreams. Ed would smile when he would watch his daughter imitate dance moves in Michael Jackson videos, telling her that he knew that one day she too would be a star. When Adair was 14, everything changed when her father died trying to get his family to safety during a house fire. Adair, her mom and siblings were forced into poverty, living off of government assistance and constantly moving around. .... By the time she was in her late teens, Adair was out on her own in New York City, trying to earn money to send to her family, but at the same time trying to catch a break as a recording artist. Adair quickly experienced some promising opportunities, appearing on MTV as “VJ For a Day” and on an episode of “Face Biters,” but depression slowly started to sink in and Adair turned to drugs and alcohol. While she managed to get a job as a door host at a popular nightclub in New York, making enough money to both support her lifestyle and help her mom with her younger siblings, it became increasingly difficult for her to fight her demons. Adair managed to make some headway networking with industry movers and shakers while at work, but privately she fell deeper into depression, not ever having the opportunity to mourn the death of her father and frustrated that her career lacked focus and direction. At her lowest moment, Adair woke up in a hospital bed after overdosing on pills and alcohol. It was at that point that Adair put her faith in God and asked for Him to help her get her life back together. Adair became determined to get clean and sober, and on October 19, 2006, she did just that. She soon started to write incessantly about everything that had gone on in her life – from her father to her alcohol addiction – and slowly but surely, her words turned into songs. .... About a year later, a mutual friend introduced Adair to Frequency, an up and coming music producer from Long Island. Frequency, who had seen some early success in his career producing songs for rappers like Snoop Dogg, Cam’ron and Raekwon, had just become a member of the multi-platinum production team the Trackmasters. Adair and Frequency had instant chemistry, recorded one song together, but then lost touch. After reconnecting in early 2009, they recorded six more songs together and knew they were onto something. .... The music that Frequency and Adair have created defies categorization by genre. Many have described the pair as the new Missy and Timbaland. Adair’s songs all touch on real life experiences – from “PTSD” which is about Adair’s battles with anxiety and panic attacks, to “Show Off” which is about a persistent suitor at a nightclub, to “If It Had to Happen” which is about the death of her dad. Everyone that hears her music knows that something special is about to take the music industry by storm. Before she ever had a song out, she had 20,000 followers on Twitter, a solid nightly following on BlogTV and random fan sites popping up on the Internet. Rap “supergroup” Slaughterhouse even invited her to perform with them at Jones Beach during the 2009 Rock the Bells tour. According to Grammy award winning mix engineer Jason Goldstein, “Adair is the complete package. She is an amazing songwriter and one of the most exciting new artists I’ve heard in a long time.” .... Adair ..is.. her music. She sings about what she’s been through and what she’s still going through. “I want people to come into my world, and if they can dance while they’re doing it, then I think I’ve accomplished my goal!” Enjoy listening to the Truth As Adair. ............ .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ......Adair - Show Off.. from ..Adair.. on ..Vimeo..... .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ......Adair - Diana Levine Photo Shoot.. from ..Adair.. on ..Vimeo..... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ......Adair - Slaughterhouse Rehearsal.. from ..Adair.. on ..Vimeo..... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ......Adair Performance with Slaughterhouse - Rock The Bells.. from ..Adair.. on ..Vimeo..... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ......Adair - Photo Shoot (Brooklyn, NY).. from ..Adair.. on ..Vimeo..... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ......Adair - Shopping for Photo Shoot NYC.. from ..Adair.. on ..Vimeo..... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ......"Scram" (Prod. by Freq Show Music).. from ..Adair.. on ..Vimeo..... .... .. .. .. -
