Not much is known about Understanding other than the following:
1] He confesses Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
2] He has a problem when certain Christian hip-hop fans claim he doesn't sound "Christian" enough or when non-Christian rappers claim he needs 2 leave all that positive, spiritual nonsense alone and "Keep It Real."
3] Though sometimes feeling as if though he's walking a tight rope between The Sacred and The Secular ... he loves hip-hop with a passion.
4] He's been putting in work at this 4 a while now with a bit of an unexplained hiatus in-between what he dismissively refers 2 as "then" and "now".
Long story short though check 4 DR. BUTCHER and UNDERSTANDING's 1st release of vintage material titled "BUTCHER's SHOP Of HORRORS" on Domination Recordings coming in mid 2009. Ya' man UNDERSTANDING's as yet untitled solo album [which I'm workin' on] will either follow that up or possibly come out simultaneously !!!
An irreplaceible reminder for the beginnings... Footprints of time that encage truth, unearth anguish, liberate struggle. They produce hope, create songs, stimulate productivity, lead hip hop forward...as history, as a story, as a saga, as a step-by-step growth and progress. As a living proof for a culture which commenced its secure pace precisely with "My Addidas". Respect, Sleet.
no problemo broski, its positive energy can make the world go round, and fuels independent artists continue their musical labour. Especially with mc's who keep the conscience rap alive, during these days.
im a fellow liberal christian my friend, and i totally understand what youre struggle is with christians and non christians with your music. God and his right hand, and his first son yeshua, understand the understanding more than a easily judgemental man.
and again with the pun, the ones who judged you, only did it, because they cant understand the understanding.
aiight my homie, god bless to you and your loved ones and as we say back in my mother yugoslavia, live long in good health
you always got the realest ish my broski, as i said youre one of my favourite mcs from the forums and from this myspace thats oversaturated with shallowness in todays hiphop.
