Beyond that, I also love drivin' my Scion XB to Flea markets, Estate Sale & Yard/Garage Sales, or Recycled Material Stores! I also love spending time with my friends. And I can't forget training, fundraising and walking 60 Miles with the Walking Warriors!

    I'm a movie addict. Especially love romance movies that make you cry...and political thrillers. I just recently watched "The Secret Life of Bees" and LOVED IT! Loved Twilight...even though I'm an old lady, as I absolutely LOVED all of Stephanie Meyer's books!

    The Twilight Series (as mentioned) - can't wait for Stephanie Meyer to write another book! Eat, Love, Pray was a book that helped me get through some really stressful days at work! Receiving this book as a gift from my son's girlfriend was a god send.

    My Mama who passed away from Breast Cancer in 1972. She was an amazing woman - she raised 6 children on her own - what an inspiration! My husband; he's a hard worker, a good father, and he washes dishes! Oh and he can pretty much fix or weld anything! My kids; one is an artist with a dry sense of humor. One is an excellent mother, and a spit fire, you gotta love that in a young woman! And the baby is a dedicated student who sets goals and reaches them, time afer time! What more could a Mama ask for! The Men and Women who walk the Breast Cancer 3 Day!

Urban Iron Art & Newtiques proudly sells hand crafted & re-purposed garden art and home furnishings. The husband & wife owners of UIA enjoy finding used items (things most people consider "junk") which we art~fully make into garden art and vintage/shabby chic decor items. In particular our new passion is making jewerly out of antique & vintage silver spoons & forks! Making "junk" items to items that can be re~loved is our passion! For instance we also use wine and various bottles, that often end up in land fills, and we incorporate them into Bottle Trees! The manly man side of the business welds rebar into the shape of a tree and we add the bottles to the ends of the rebar, with the end result being a beautiful, easy to care for Tree. We even create Shabby Chic Trees! Please visit our Bottle Tree Album and leave us a comment. We've learned that pretty much anything disgarded, can serve a useful purpose..it may not be the purpose intended, but something completely different!We refer to our style as Salvage Chic! And if you love junking, going to flea markets, and yard/garage sales, and collecting cottage or shabby chic items ~ you are our kind of person!! 10% of the proceeds from all sales are donated to Breast Cancer Research, in particular the Susan G. Komen For The Cure and The 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk! Founded in 1982 on a promise between two sisters, the Susan G Komen Foundation represents how a single person's vision can make a difference in the lives of millions! Each year, the Mama side of UIA participates in the Seattle Breast Cancer 3 Day in honor of Faythe Langlois, who passed away in 1972, after a tough battle against Breast Cancer. My Mom left behind six children and as the youngest, I was eight years old when she passed away. This experience (as you can imagine) greatly impacted my life and, so I walk!! I walk so other children can grow up WITH THEIR MOTHERS! And because Everyone Deserves a Lifetime!
