About me:

It was down to the wire on the paint job, and the helmet is only a bit heavy and disorienting to ride around in. I got a lot of honks and laughs, and cops have ignored me. I have preserved the Snell 85 sticker on the back of the helmet for them just in case. It is visible through a hole in the mohawk.

Tim, Gene and I met up with Carl, Mike and Ron at the Alano Club for a quick breakfast. I was real happy to see a good number of bikes there, mostly big twin Harleys with the occasional Japanese cruiser. Only one very nice BMW tourer The only sportbike there was an old FZR with its fairings stripped. (The guy said he was going to get a Harley)
Mike and Ron led us through the route which included some scenic roads I had never been on, and the Tulloch Reservoir Resort, which I had never been to all these years. We also stopped at the covered bridge outside Knights Ferry.
I did not make it to The Leatherworks, which was where lunch and the prizes were, I had to make it to the dyno class in Sacramento. We had some trouble getting the dyno computer to boot up, but it finally did, so we can make some runs next Saturday. I guess I'll need earplugs.
How was the barbeque and the door prizes? Did anybody win anything? All I got was an Ace high.
