About Penguins In The Desert [RADIO]

Penguins In The Desert was a radio show on Binghamton University's student and community ran radio station WHRW 90.5 FM. The show first aired in the Spring of 2007 from February 17th and ending May 13th. In Fall 2007 the show aired from September 23rd to December 2nd. In Spring 2008 Penguins in the Desert aired February 19th and concluded May 11th. In Fall 2008 the show aired from September 12th to December 12th. Spring 2009 ended May 13th

Penguins in the Desert is currently taglined as "The best radio show on WHRW... that's hosted by twins and is hosted by DJs Hayley and Jeri. Although you can expect to hear alternative rock and indie rock, be prepared to discover new music and hear songs you've always loved!

Penguins in the Desert won Most Outstanding Broadcast of the Year at Binghamton University's XCELsior 2008 awards! AND Honorable mention XCELsior 2009 award for Best Media Effort of the Year at Binghamton University!
