About me:
This year the Edinburgh Fringe will become the stage for an epic battle… a War on Worry. More prevalent in our society than terror, bird flu, immigrants, or Noel Edmonds, worry seeps into every crack in our psyche, and causes us to look over our shoulder rather than ahead to our future. This year stand-up comic Gareth Richards and performance poet Will Stopha will join forces to fight this enemy of us all.
Covering subjects as varied as hoodies and swans, families and branding, the environment and plastic bags, they will use Gareth’s punch-lines and Will’s power to rhyme words with other words, to combat worry and all its foul minions.
This year Gareth was a finalist and third place winner of the prestigious Hackney Empire new act of the year competition. Gareth’s sharp and surreal, quick-fire comedy is the perfect companion to Will Stopha’s energetic, hip-hop-tinged spoken word, which he has performed all over London and the UK.
‘War on Worry’ promises to be a fantastic show as Gareth’s comedy and Will’s rhymes meld together seamlessly to bring you an unstoppable torrent of enjoyment. Failing that, Gareth will do some jokes and Will’ll do some poems, which will be lovely … so no need to worry.
Just hitting you with details for the all new show by Will Stopha.
