Just find which bus takes you from your town to the BARTA Transportaion Center in Reading, then hop on the #12, #14, #15, or #16 bus for a measley $1.85 it will take you over the magic bridge. -OR- leave your lame-ass friends at the mall and take bus #16 over here instead. It takes less than 10 minutes. A "1-day anywhere pass" is just $4!!! Use the bus like it's your bitch for the day, it's awesome.

west reading is a small town with lots of soul. located just outside of the city of reading, pa, it's 4 blocks of neet-o shops that you just have to see to believe. and the best part about it? if you look beyond the hype, beyond all the trendy yuppie shops, beyond all the stiff shirts and khakis strolling the sidewalks, you'll find lurking in the alleys and in the basements some really cool shit that you'd normally only find in NYC -- right in your 610! indie shops that are proud to mix a little south street philly flava with lot of NYC village punch. shops that stick together, and support the local artists, free-thinkers, musicians, and the diy community. come together!!
we'd like to think of the ave as a hub; a place where like-minded creative people can get together and share ideas, meet new friends, keep in touch, and just hang out. Support the local shops and we'll gladly give back to the community. there's always a project in the works around here -- art shows, live music, performances, showings, activities. subscribe to our blog and keep up with what's going on around here. fuck the mall!! this is real. keep the 610 counter-culture alive!
