About me:

Hey Everyone, This is Delton Doucet And Welcome To My Official MySpace Page!

First off let me explain a little of why I built this MySpace profile and then I will dive into a little more about me and what I am seeking in life.

I learned over time through trial and error, setbacks and heartbreaks that if you truly wish to live the life of your dreams and have everything in life you desire you must change who you are.

Ask yourself this…is your life going the way you desire? Do you have things in life that you desire? Well here’s the truth.

No matter what you do, you can not and will not dramatically increase your income, achieve your dreams and goals in life to the level you desire with the same mindset that you currently have that is leaving you with out all the things, income, and lifestyle that you truly desire. When you CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS, you will CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

Unless you truly make a strong and firm decision to change your mindset and face every obstacle that will come your way, and those “bumps in the road” will come I assure you, once you make this decision to change and meet those challenges head on and not stop to you achieve those things that you want out of life, you will continue to get what it is that you have now that is leaving you wanting more.

But There’s More…

What I am seeking is to meet and CONNECT with like minded people, not people who wish for true change in their lives for the better yet they are not willing to put forth the time and effort it truly takes to grow as a person within and as well as from without.

The people I like to meet are people who are open minded, that KNOW that there is more out there in life for them and it’s theirs for the taking if they are willing to put forth the effort it will take to acquire what it is they desire out of life, and the starting point to achieving what it is you want out of life is desire.

Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve – Napoleon Hill

So A Little About Me…

I was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana but we moved to my moms hometown of Oakdale were I was raised with one younger brother.

I was very athletic, played baseball and football all through my youth and high school and of course was the typical wild teenager, nothing criminal haha, just typical wild teenage antics, sometimes I truly don’t know how I survived!

I come from a blue collar working family, seemed everyone in my family was in the construction industry and after attending college for a few years my brother and I found ourselves in the industry too but on the technical side of it.

Unlike the rest of my family I always had this deep desire to seek more out of life. I always had this desire to want more of everything, not in a selfish way but in a way that I desired more out of life than just going to work, coming home, watching some television then go to bed and then do it all over again for the next 40+ years then retire or hope to retire and also hope that social security would still be there.

I also had this feeling in me that I was going to be financially successful also, not having to struggle from paycheck to paycheck like many people do today and as many members of my own family. I could not explain it growing up but it was there, like a voice whispering to me constantly.

When I was 21 and was in my first tour of duty, so to speak, working construction I answered an ad that was in the paper for people desiring to earn $10,000 or more monthly working from home. I DESIRED!

Well I knew in my industry I could make that and over the years I have made $10,000 or more a month but I was having to put in 84+ hours a week and killing myself in the process to earn that!

Anyway I answered the ad and went to the meeting and it turned out to be a network marketing company called Nu Skin.

This was 1991 and the latter stages of the stone age marketing techniques they were still using before the internet came along to revolutionize the industry so I sat through the meeting and I was hooked at the concept and the income that could be earned and joined.

Now this is funny! Here I was a 21 year old kid marketing beauty products but here is what was amazing. I really did not know what to do but to do what my sponsor did and so I ran an ad and had a few people answer the ad and I met them to show them the presentation and my very first person I met turned was a couple a little older than me at the time, late 20’s and the guy's wife was like 7 months pregnant with their first child but they were doing great financially with their businesses they ran from home, can't remember today what it was they did but, I just remember they were doing great, but they were looking to increase their income streams with another side business which is always a great idea.

So I did my presentation and they wanted in…great! They also wanted to join at the highest level which that was the $3,000 level! So I signed them up but did not have the paper work correct so I called my sponsor and she FREAKED! She and none of her upline had ever signed someone up at that level and she didn’t even know how to do the paper work either! Hahaha…

Anyway I was hooked even though that opportunity later didn’t work out for me and its been a roller coaster ride in the school of hard knocks in gaining the knowledge and meeting the RIGHT people and mentors to put me on the path to success.

Probably the hardest part for myself is what many other like minded individuals that have the same desires for their lives have to face and that is no support from family members and loved ones that think you are crazy, you can’t do that, and no matter what you do they give you no support whatsoever, and if you do get support its the "half-hearted" statement "oh we believe in you!" and you know it was not said with any sincerity or belief.

Not only did I face this from family members but also my now former spouse that didn’t believe in me either. Double whammy!

But I kept pushing on, winning some and losing some but always pushing forward never giving up cause you never truly fail unless you stop trying. Later one of my mentors made the statement that rang true that I still think about today.

He stated, "you don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going...even if you fail you are failing forward and you are going to be ahead from where you started from. If you are going to fail, fail going forward, not backwards."

One of the things that kept pushing me all these years is the fact that I CAN NOT stand working for other people, having others dictate to me when I can and can not work, when I can take my vacation time and what income level I will earn each year. I will admit this has gotten me into trouble a few times but I am sure that there are many of you that can relate to this.

I regret nothing. If I had not gone through this school of hard knocks I WOULD NOT HAVE this insight and knowledge that I now have if I had not experienced it all that gives me a deeper appreciation for all things.

Sometimes if things come to you too easily you lack the appreciation of those things when you acquire them.

In Spite Of All The Setbacks I Have Encountered I Knew I Had To Keep Going…And I Did!

I did not truly understand what kept me going through all the ups and downs of my home and business life until I started seeking answers from reading and listening to people that were in the position and living the lifestyle that I desired so much.

Seek and you shall find was really starting to pay off for me.

Unknowingly I was starting to attract into my life the people that could give me the answers that I sought. The Law of Attraction was working for me even though at the time I did not even know it.

Only after seeking the answers and realizing what I was doing did I start to understand the true power in attracting to you what it is that you desire in your life.

And it’s within YOU to do the same…

The power to take control of your life is within you. It is within every single one of us. The question is are you willing to take that first step to make your dreams become a reality?

To do this you must STEP OUT of your comfort zone and this is what separates those that truly desire change in their lives and the ones that just talk about wanting change. Its takes great will power and discipline to leave your comfort zone and it is a necessary step.

It’s a simple fact, in order to get the things you have never had before you must do the things you have never done before.

Only you can decide if you have the desire necessary to do what it takes to make your dreams a reality. You already have it within you to succeed, its just up to you if you will tap into the power that is within you.

All My Best Wishes

Delton Doucet

Who I'd like to meet:

"Success is not a Matter of Luck - It's a Question of Choice."

I like to meet people that are WILLING to go through the Acid Test of Success. What is the Acid Test of Success you ask? Basically its this...

As you step out of your comfort zone and start to bring success into your life and you to start to grow as a person (for the better) everyone from family, friends, and co-workers will see you in a different light and some will accept your change and embrace it and some will become envious of your new found success and you are going to truly find out who your true friends are and the ones that you can trust and you will be the better for it.

Amazingly though many people out of fear of stepping out of their comfort zones and the fear of what others will think about them will CHEAT themselves out of an amazing life of prosperity and success…if this is NOT you, you are someone that I would like to meet…

To be successful you have to step out of that comfort zone, you have to ALLOW YOURSELF to grow and be willing to let go of those people that wish to hold you back.

I wish to meet with like-minded people, people that have ACCEPTED abundance into their lives and wish for more of it.

These are the people who I DO NOT want to interact with:

1. Energy Vampires. These are people who just suck your positive energy out of you. Always complaining about everything around them and are never happy and they want everyone around them to feel the same way.

2. People that have no desire to grow in life. They are just content to get by and take what life gives them instead of demanding life give them what they desire.

3. People with defeatist attitudes. They do not believe in anything. Everyone and everything is out to get them. They believe nothing good is ever going to happen in their lives and they put forth no effort to change that except complain.

These are the people who I DO want to interact with:

1. People with a positive attitude. People that BELIEVE they can accomplish anything in their lives and are willing to do what it takes to make their dreams come true.

2. Anyone that is seriously dedicated to their success on all levels of their lives.

3. People who take CONTROL of their own destinies especially internet marketers, network marketers, home business people, entrepreneurs, small and big business owners, salespeople and anyone else that believes in calling their own shots when it comes to their income.

4. People that invest in themselves through reading, listening or watching self-growth, motivational material. People who invest in themselves to grow as a person know that is the best investment to make.

5. People that have written goals. Until you write it down and take that first step to make it become a reality its just a dream.

6. People that optimistic, they see the glass half-full not half-empty.

7. And most of all I'm interested in meeting people that are positive, highly-motivated and a burning desire just as I do to have more spare time living their lives financially free, in charge of their own destiny and to break free from their job and start making serious a difference in other people's lives.

Before you go leave me a comment or a message.

Its like the saying goes that I have heard many times from the great Joe Schroeder, “what you give away you get to keep.”

What that means is, when you give away your time and effort helping others reach their goals, you get to keep the rewards which are having your goals reached and your own income levels soar.

Before you go leave me a comment or a message and I look forward to hearing from you!

Have a Great Day!

Hey my friend

I wanted to share this with you. It's something that I thought up and I wanted to share it with you.

"You can buy all the books, tapes and courses you want but if you don't use the material and get it on the road, then you're really just a fool that has less money at the end of the day than you had at the beginning of the day."

I hope that you learn from this because i know for me it's pretty impactful.

Finding Your "One Thing"

In the movie City Slickers, a group of friends take a “vacation” at a dude ranch. Curley, played by Jack Palance, is a crusty yet wise old cowboy who shares the following with Mitch, played by Billy Crystal:
Curley: Do you know what the secret of life is?
Mitch: No, what?
Curley: This. (Holds up his index finger.)
Mitch: Your finger?
Curley: One thing. Just one thing. You stick to that and everything else don’t mean [anything].
Mitch: That’s great, but what’s the one thing?
Curley: That’s what you’ve got to figure out!

Great scene … great advice. Leaders have to figure out the One Thing that defines a meaningful purpose for their teams. The One Thing should answer the question Why are we here? You may think that finding that focus isn’t critical; but in fact, it’s essential to your success. The most important thing in business (and life) is deciding what is most important.

Your team’s One Thing might be: producing defect-free materials; providing the fastest service available; developing leading-edge products; creating relationships that customers cannot walk away from; or meeting the technology needs of other departments. These are just examples – your One Thing has to be your One Thing. And it should guide all of your decisions and actions.

Even after you find your One Thing, sticking to it can be a challenge while you put out fires and explore new opportunities. Don’t be tempted to think, as some do, that you can keep piling on initiatives and still maintain your team’s focus. You may find yourself in the middle of the “Ship is Adrift” Syndrome. Instead, consider automating, streamlining or outsourcing areas that are not core to your team’s operation.

A laser-sharp focus does not happen overnight. It takes time and effort to refine, reinforce, and communi-cate your One Thing. But you need to start now. Blurred focus creates confusion – resulting in diffused employee efforts. Stay focused! Remember Curley!
