I lead the Music Team at Minnehaha Church of Christ. I do vocals and play electric guitar. I play a Godin Solidac two-voice guitar. She is gorgeous (see pics) and I named her Maureen, after auburn-haired Maureen O'Hara, the most beautiful, talented actress ever to grace the silver screen. Maureen has two output jacks, one for electric and one for acoustic. I play her through a GNX4 floor processor out to two Tech 21 Power Engine 60 amps which I use as stereo monitors on stage. I also plug into the house PA system using the XLR connections on the GNX4, and sometimes I also use Maureen's acoustic side out to a Crate or Ibanez amp, so sometimes I am driving sound through four sources at once. I only get to really crank it up during practice though!
Our Praise Team people are really talented and dedicated. They are not on stage for attention, but it is obvious to me that they have an earnest desire to help the congregation lift praise up to our Creator. It is a privilege to serve with them. Some of them are here on MySpace. My daughter Catie sings special numbers and my son Rob helps out on drums or electric guitar. He's got a beautiful Epiphone Gibson Les Paul.
I am an avid Largemouth Bass fisherman. My fishing buddy Roy and I have reached a point where we rarely catch any dinky fish anymore. It's either nice big fish, or none at all (see pics). It's great fun and I sometimes fish from shore or from Roy's nice new bass boat, but I mostly enjoy fishing from my Old Town 'Predator' canoe. I also like hunting, mostly waterfowl and upland birds when I can.
I'm a semi-retired old dude. I draw a pension and only work part time now as a sales associate at a major outdoor chain.
But I'm a full time believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ.
He means what He says about Himself: "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me."
I know that's rather exclusive in this day of 'tolerance' and 'diversity,' but He said it, not me.
I believe He deserves every bit of our love and praise.
My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:8
"The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever."
Who I'd like to meet: The so-called "men" of the "religion of peace" who think this is something noble to do to their own daughters and to other women. The "men" who do this are cowardly, primitive little geeks. I would be glad to meet such people, or foolish American liberals who defend them, and demonstrate for them just how stupid I think honoring "MULTICULTURALISM" really is.
I am truly glad that our military are getting rid of such men. This world does not need the savage idiocy of this "religion."
If you think Christianity is 'just as bad' as Islam, tell me where Christians are doing these things to women:
MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY, MAY YOUR TURKEYBE PLUMP. MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP. MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS. MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE, MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS!!

i know. lol.But, i had some expensive stuff out there and some stuff from when I was a little girl. and decorations my kids made in preschool.I am pretty upset! i think somebody threw it away. i hope I'm wrong. He better hope I am wrong!!!lol
Thinking I had it all figured out. Living my life, yet still filled with doubt.
Something felt empty, pointless and dull. I walked through each day, counting it null.
I thought that this was what life was about. Finding myself to gain worldly clout.
I thought I had a way to meet every need. Still my heart had continued to bleed.
I knew that somehow there had to be more. I kept feeling a tug, and a knock at the door.
Life had to be more than just an existence, Looking for answers, I prayed with persistence.
I humbled myself and I fell on my knees. Jesus, oh Jesus, HELP ME PLEASE.
I confessed every sin that I could think of, And begged Him to fill me with His precious Love.
That's when He touched me with Celestial Glory. Bringing me into a part of His story.
No longer alone feeling helpless and small. He touched me with Love, and gave me His All.
Warmth flooded my being, a Touch from Above. Lightly breathed in my spirit the peace of a dove.
A moment in time that stands still in my mind. Time spent with My Father, so loving and kind.
This joy can never be contained in my flesh. Touched by Jesus, I'm renewed and refreshed.
Rays of Light shoot forth from the center of my heart. As Grace washes my soul to change every part.
Thank You My Jesus, My Saviour, My Friend. My Father, My Hope, My Deliver from sin.
You Touched Me, You Touched Me from Heaven Above. Filling my heart with the Light of Your Love.
