And when asked if he compared himself to the likes of Bow Wow, and Lil Romeo he replied, ’No, never, they are cool dudes but we are all on different pages as far as marketing. I’m my own man’. Hailing out of Providence, Rhode Island, Young Platinum (whose real name is Shaun Freeman) found it hard to break out in entertainment. ’I was 8 years old searching through the classified ad’s and the yellow pages looking for modeling jobs and auditions; I would spend hours’, he jokingly spits out. Impressed by his verbal and communication skills, Shaun was offered roles in plays and with agencies which were routinely dismissed based on his mothers wishes. At age 16, this young man has since taken over ’Online Teen Rap’ sites and garnered shoutouts and pages devoted to him on many different sites. ’Teen girls absolutely love this kid’ says an old business partner. ’I’ve never seen a kid without promotion gain acceptance this easily, unbelievable!’.
