The soul as a whole explains how all events in the soul involve thinking and reasoning; there is no stage of pure sensual receptivity, to be contrasted with subsequent ratiocination." --Julia E. Annas, Hellenistic Philosophy of Mind

"It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to." --JRRT
Zen: When stepping onto a road, you should jump, in hopes of being carried off, be it the wind at your back, to new vistas, explore!
Goals:
Finish my BS in Computer Science.
Work full time again.
Acquire, if not build, a Harp (Celtic) and play to my hearts content to be eventually expansive.
Continue to volunteer and mentor, ie. via Big Brother, moving toward foster care and eventual adoption.
Grow a Mango tree, even if only bonsai.
Grow a ZZ Plant.
Find a papers rack to fulfill my regular trappings.
Write and illustrate my notes and ideas into short books of a poetic nature and/or for children and/or to finish writing a novel which i have started.
Finish my domain site and be cyclic with it better then i am here.
Be paperless at home.
Be perfectly cyclic with my current music collection.
Continue and eventually empty myself of my life's material trappings.
yeah. but this is a fan based trailer...they are thinking of producing a movie in 2010. I loved the new Witch Mountain. Well worth the 20 bucks to get in (with another cuz watching movies alone is dumb) I like watching Pixar/Dreamworks cartoons so I am waiting for that movie "UP" I think it's called. I also want to see "Monsters vs. Aliens" ...those kind of movies I love too. DB looks cool but I hope it's really close to the movie...other than making Roshi younger-ish and making Goku more serious sounding. The Piccolo though looks like the evil Mask from that Jim Carey movie...I did like the design of how that bike blew out the capsule...wonder if they will show a preview for maybe a 2nd DB movie...Radditz and Vegeta and Androids, Cell and Buu...so many bad guys. then they can finally put out a whole new cartoon... I am getting tired of these Spiderman cartoons... there's like 4 kinds of them out now on syndication/new episodes.
It could be... this past weekend in Chicago I learned a new lil technique from a woman who Enlightened a few years back. She had us bow to everyone we meet, even if it is just with our eyelids. And when doing so, we ask inside, "Who are You, behind this body?" And it immediately brings out Their Essence. So maybe that is why... :) wonderful Sage she is (www. pamelasatsang. com) She is quickly becoming the cause for others to Enlighten, and the inspiration for them to give Satsang on their own :)
