Does anyone know the mathematics behind parachuting.... ie: if you are traveling at 100 mph and pull the pilot chute how long does it take to deploy the main chute?

That makes my heart fill with joy! I've always wanted to jump miles out into the ocean... land in the water, using only GPS coordinates to land next to a boat. have some buddies pick me up.. maybe do some scuba diving, then out that night for some beers.
      Thats a good time!
