About me:
The Double Dash project takes life officially in October 2003, when, after a childhood passed listening to the unofficial recordings coming from the best clubs in Italy (Cocoricò, Baia Degli Angeli and ECU above all) that were provided by friends of their parents, Lorenzo and Gabriele settled to learn, in a completely self-taught way, the basic concepts to the mix using proper softwares, transforming so the innate passion for electronic music in a real work bid, buying their first mixer and turntables at the beginning of 2004.
Subsequently, in May of the same year, they took part in their first DJ contest announced by the city of Perugia at the Domus Club, classifying to second place, and subsequently obtained their residency to Crocodile discotheque's priveè in Monte San Savino, together with djs Andrea B and Miky Marra (that teach them several tricks of the job) obtaining many positive criticism by owner club, that may notice immediately in their great potential.
The time goes by playing dj-sets in a variety of Valtiberina's clubs with pretty successful (despite the strong innovation proposal, compared to that offered by area), always trying to propose dj-sets similar with the American deep-progressive seam, in pure Deep Dish's style, going in against trend establishment of the electro tech-house style proposed trade by most local clubs. From here the turning point and the decision not to stop in front of the small clubs "under the house:" it is increasing the need to go out the schemes and take the long journey to enter between one of those who make the music and not suffer it.
With the need of something new, never heard before, of fresh, BUT WITHOUT DENYING THE STYLE OF DEPARTURE AND WITHOUT GOING COMMERCIAL SOUNDS, they discover the minimal: thanks to German neo-seam thus beginning a process of musical metamorphosis that brings them by progressive hypnotic rythm of 90s' end, to the current minimal sonorousness, everything always characterized by deep marked atmospheres.
Their dj-sets are the outcome of fantasy and emotions that people forward: they range from house to techno, from hypnotic marches to psychedelic harmonies, characterizing it all with pleasant sonorousness also to the simple listening, taking inspiration by dj/producers of the caliber such as Marco Carola, Luca Bacchetti, Touane, Gabriel Ananda, Booka Shade, Damian Schwartz, Ricardo Villalobos, Paul Ritch, Pikaya and many more...
Il progetto Double Dash prende vita ufficialmente nel Ottobre del 2003 quando, dopo un'infanzia passata ad ascoltare le registrazioni provenienti dalle migliori discoteche (Cocoricò, Baia Degli Angeli e Ecu prime fra tutte) che gli venivano fornite da amici dei genitori, Lorenzo e Gabriele decidono di apprendere, in maniera del tutto autodidatta, le nozioni basilari per il mixaggio avvalendosi di software appositi, trasformando cosi l'innata passione per la musica elettronica in un vero e proprio lavoro acquistando il primo mixer e una coppia di piatti agli inizi del 2004. Successivamente, nel Maggio dello stesso anno, partecipano al loro primo dj contest indetto dal comune di Perugia presso il locale Domus, classificandosi al secondo posto, e successivamente ottengono la residenza nel priveè della discoteca Crocodile di Monte San Savino, assieme ai djs Andrea B e Miky Marra (che insegnano loro svariati trucchetti del mestiere) ottenendo numerose critiche positive dagli addetti ai lavori, che notano subito in loro ottime potenzialità. Il tempo passa effettuando dj-sets in svariati locali della Valtiberina riscuotendo un buon successo (nonostante la forte innovatività proposta, rispetto a quella offerta dalla zona), cercando sempre di proporre dj-sets affini con il filone deep-progressive americano, in puro stile Deep Dish, andando in contro tendenza all’affermarsi del genere electro techouse di stampo commerciale proposto dalla maggior parte delle discoteche locali. Da qui la svolta e la decisione di non fermarsi alla piccola discoteca sotto casa: si fa sempre più forte la necessità di uscire fuori dagli schemi e d’intraprendere quel lungo cammino per entrare tra quelli che la musica la fanno e non la subiscono. Con il bisogno di qualcosa di nuovo, di mai sentito prima, di fresco, ma senza rinnegare lo stile di partenza e senza scendere nel commerciale, scoprono la minimal: grazie al neo filone tedesco ha così inizio un processo di metamorfosi musicale che li porta dalla progressive ipnotica di fine anni ‘90, fino alle attuali sonorità minimali, il tutto sempre caratterizzato da marcate atmosfere deep.
I loro dj-sets sono frutto della fantasia e delle emozioni che la gente trasmette: spaziano dalla house alla techno, dalle marcette ipnotiche fino ad armonie psichedeliche, caratterizzando il tutto con sonorità ricercate e piacevoli anche al semplice ascolto, prendendo spunto da dj/producers del calibro di Marco Carola, Luca Bacchetti, Gabriel Ananda, Booka Shade, Damian Schwartz, Ricardo Villalobos, Pikaya and many more…

An artistic event of techno music and video art performance in the heart of Milan, with the contribution of Box Vision And Galleria Meravigli. The location is very significant being in the historical part of Milan with its typical architecture and charm, it will be a night in which all the positive energy will be released in a city which is often closed to young people and there expressive necessities. The colors of the night and the appropriation of the city center by the youth culture will push aside the greyness and the disturbing chaos that are king during the day. We will once again get together by the "sacred fire" listening and dancing to the rhythm of the drums!
