ALL SONGS WRITTEN BY EMISSARY WERE INSPIRED BY AND DETICATED TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!
The 4th of July 1993, aboard a 747, on my way back to San Jose, I was thumbing through a dictionary and came upon the word Emissary. "A messenger sent on a mission". Hmm... a name for a band? Maybe...
So meditating on "The Rock of my Salvation", and the stone that had been rolled away to reveal that Christ had risen...

GOT JESUS?
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
Where Will You Spend Eternity?
God knows about everything that has brought you to this very moment, and He loves you. He understands your feelings and wants to help you to live a better life, but He isn't pushy. He won't force Himself upon you. God is waiting for you to be at the place where you are willing to recognize His plan, call out to Him and invite Him into your life. What is His plan?
God's plan was to redeem mankind from sin through the sacrificial life and death of His only Son, Jesus.
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever shall believe on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." God loved us so much, He wanted to give us His best and that's why He sent Jesus. Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world. There was no greater sacrifice to the Father God than to give up His only Son, Jesus. It was hard for Him, but it was also right in His sight. Through Jesus sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection from the grave, mankind was given an opportunity to be redeemed from sin. God tells us in His Word that sin must be paid for, and the only payment acceptable in Gods eyes is the blood of His only Son, Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus, we are accepting Gods plan and God can then start working with us. Our simple faith in His plan opens the door for our heart to change, and then our life can start changing too. God gave His best when He gave us Jesus Christ, and there is nothing else we can do to earn His grace. Jesus earned it for us. He took our blame and our sins. He died and rose again so that we might be free and clear in Gods sight. Now, all we have to do is realize our need for God and accept that Jesus Christs death and resurrection is His plan for our redemption and go to Him in prayer.
Romans 10:9-10 tells us,"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Sometimes people make this difficult, but God has made it very simple. All He asks is that you believe that Jesus took your sins in your heart and confess it with your mouth. Together, these things bring about redemption. Together, they open the doorway so that you can be redeemed.
EMISSARY® WARRIOR FOR CHRIST's Friend Space (Top 40)
"A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain?"
A treasure to be cherished, A gift from God above; Is the beauty of a friendship, Touched by unconditional love. A love that asks no questions, Believes in all the best; Never doubting, ever trusting, Withstanding any test. A love that weathers any storm, And yet that love still stands; Through the very darkest hour, It still reaches out a hand. There in that hand the sweetest gift, That you can give a friend; A heart that cares, a love that shares, That will be there till the end. A treasure to be cherished, A gift from God above; Is what I share with you my friend, An unconditional love.

It is unthinkable that God would allow one of His children, whom He purchased with the blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19) and made into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), to be possessed and controlled by a demon. Yes, as believers, we wage war with Satan and his demons, but not from within ourselves. The apostle John declares, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Who is the One in us? The Holy Spirit. Who is the one in the world? Satan and his demons. Therefore, the believer has overcome the world of demons, and the case for demon possession of a believer cannot be made scripturally.Brigitte ♥ †

The power of prayer is not special words we say or the special way we say them or even how often we say them. The power of prayer is not based on a certain direction we face or a certain position of our bodies. The power of prayer does not come from the use of artifacts or icons or candles or beads. The power of prayer is based on Who hears our prayer and answers it. Prayer places us in contact with Almighty God, and we should expect almighty results, whether or not He chooses to grant our petitions, deny our requests, or ask us to wait on Him. Whatever the answer to our prayers, the God to whom we pray is the source of all power, and He can and will answer us, according to His perfect will and timing. Peace, Brigitte ♥ †
How many of your words this last week were words of encouragement? How many of your words were words to build up? How many times in the last week did you find it necessary to criticize, to tear down and destroy? Dr. Howe in seminary used to say, “Gentlemen, it takes no size to criticize.” Anybody can sit in the critic’s corner and just tear something down. Are you the kind of person that other people are glad to see coming into the room, or are you the kind of person that causes other people to turn their face away? One reason may be that they see you as a negative, discouraged, critical person. Everybody has troubles and problems. Nobody gets a free ride from earth to heaven. How blessed you are if you use your tongue to lift up and encourage the people around you.
When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid. Audre Lorde
Those who possess strength have also known adversity. Byron Pulsifer
All the strength and force of man comes from his faith in things unseen. He who believes is strong; he who doubts is weak. Strong convictions precede great actions. James Freeman Clarke
If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.
Just go out there and do what you've got to do.
Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

Thomas is not an unbelieving skeptic; he is a wounded believer. He was not unwilling to believe, but unable. Thomas stands for all time as the one man who most desperately wanted to believe if only he could be sure. After all these years, Thomas has gotten a bad reputation. Doubting Thomas, we call him. We tend to look down on him. But not Jesus. Eight days later, Jesus appeared to the disciples a second time. This time Thomas was with them. Jesus speaks to him as to one whose faith is weak, not to one who has an evil heart. He said, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe” (John 20:27). It’s worth noting that Jesus knew all about Thomas’ doubts. He knew the raging sea within his heart. And he came just so Thomas could be sure. Jesus didn’t put him down. He said, “Go ahead. See for yourself. Stop doubting and believe.” This means that above the front door of every church in the world, we should erect a two-word sign: DOUBTERS WELCOME. That should be the church’s message.
“Let’s play the God Sighting game.” You may not want to play that game. You may wanted to complain some more. You may be persisted, and grumbling all the way, I agreed to play the God Sighting game. It’s very simple to do. You just look around and see where you can find God’s fingerprints in your life. So reluctantly I started to see where God would show up. And very soon I started to see him in small things. A phone call from a family member; The sun shining. A nice email. A daughter who dropped by. A note from one of my girls with good news. A hymn that brought me joy. Do you know what I found? I discovered that if we paid attention, we started seeing God in many places. Sometimes it was just a small little thing God would do, just something that caused us to say, “That was the Lord who did that for us.” We learned that if you keep your eyes open for God, pretty soon you’ll see him everywhere. One of our problems is that we focus on the spectacular answers to prayer. God says, “That’s not always where you’re going to see me. Look for my fingerprints in the small things and listen for the whisper of my voice.” I found myself praying, “Lord, open the eyes of my heart that I might see you everywhere.” And you know what? It enabled me to see God at work in places where I had never seen him before.
Luke 7:36-50 when Jesus visits the home of Simon the Pharisee. A pleasant dinner was interrupted when a woman who had been a prostitute comes and kneels at Jesus’ feet, weeping because of her love for him, and then drying his feet with her long hair. Simon was scandalized by this shocking, outrageous behavior. But knowing he was thinking, Jesus rebukes Simon with these stinging words: “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet (vv. 44-46).”The woman loved much because she had been forgiven much. Simon didn’t see himself as a great sinner so he didn’t even bother to offer Jesus the signs of common courtesy! Mark 12:30 - “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
To pray according to God’s will? Praying according to God’s will is praying for things that honor and glorify God and/or praying for things the Bible clearly reveals it is God’s will for us. If we pray for something that is not honoring to God or not God’s will for our lives, God will not give what we ask for. How can we know what God’s will is? God promises to give us wisdom when we ask for it. James 1:5 proclaims, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” Familiarize yourself with what the Bible says about God’s will for your life. A good place to start is 1 Thessalonians 5:12-24 which outlines many things that are God’s will for us. The better we understand God’s Word, the better we will know what to pray for. The better we know what to pray for, the more effective our prayer lives will be. Peace, Brigitte ♥ †
