Müzik
I ♥ MUSIC.
Bloc Party, Arcade Fire, Razorlight, Hot Chip, The Rapture, Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, Camera Obscura, Death Cab For Cutie, Death From Above 1979, Klaxons, Bright Eyes, Nada Surf, CSS, The Fratellis, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Maxïmo Park, The Postal Service, Rilo Kiley, Air, Zero 7, Regina Spektor, We Are Scientists...
& the occasional bit of r'n'b/hiphop at parties as a guilty pleasure. Check my last.fm for a better idea of what I listen to.
Filmler
Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amelie Poulain! Moulin Rouge, Edward Scissorhands, V For Vendetta, Closer, Starter For 10, Almost Famous, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Love Actually. And old disney films; especially Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and The Beast.
Televizyon
Peepshow! And anything else with Mitchell and Webb. Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie are absolute legends: A Bit Of Fry & Laurie, Blackadder, Jeeves & Wooster etc. And topical panel shows are always good: QI, Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks... I also occasionally watch Sex and The City And House, because American shows aren't all bad...! And even less occasionally, Doctor Who, which can be blamed upon my (unhealthy?) fixation with a certain David Tennant.
Kitaplar
Nineteen Eighty-Four, The Handmaid's Tale, The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Virgin Suicides, Lolita, The Bell Jar, The Catcher In The Rye. Plus I like the plays of Wilde and Shakespeare (esp. Hamlet - which I have RSC tickets for next year!) and all sorts of random poetry: T.S. Eliot's Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock is my all time favourite, but I also love the romantic poets, as well as more modern things like Carol Ann Duffy.
hello, I'm hannah. I'm a poor student living in the garden of england. I like living where I do, because british things like stephen fry and tea and harrods and wandering around covent garden appeal to my romantic notion of how life ought to be. I also like being a student, because it means I don't have to get a full-time job yet. ha. but, of course, I'm intensely interested in my subjects of choice... english language, philosophy, sociology and classical civilisation right now... I finished english literature in june and miss it to a pathetic degree. Next year is uni, though, to study it once more: where I plan to spend my days reading in coffee shops and my evenings dancing the night away in pokey indie clubs, vodka and tonic in hand.
my interests are broad and varied, except I'm the least sporty person ever - so that isn't one of them. I like sparkly costume jewellery à la accessorize, glossy magazines, taking photographs, new ideas, artsy films, geek-chic, good writing and anything music-related. I probably should have been born in the 1800s. I think learning is important and I hate not knowing things; wikipedia is a lifeline. I think too much and I'm incapable of making descisons. One day, I'm going to publish a novel and marry a russian poet.
I don't frequent myspace as much as I ought to these days, due to social networking site overload. there are not enough hours in the day. However, find me over at facebook for a cup of tea and a chat. ♥

yeah, Shrek wasn't that good; not a patch on the first one. although perfectly watchable and some good bits. also very erudite with references to Arthur/Lancelot/Merlin which I love as I did one of my dissertations on the Arthurian Legend. yeah; didn't do much planning last night in the end but managed to blag it today with some lessons from my back up stash of 'fun poetry'. well; I think it's fun!! not sure if they did.......... just watching Serena Williams screaming expletives out on centre court; it's very therapeutic just watching her!! xxx
I know what you mean; I definitely need a day to recover from the weekend (however I scarily seem to think this every weekend...must stop drinking so much...). Saw Shrek 3 on Fri (nice quiet night!) with some friends which was totally harmless and not particularly good but fun enough. Then went to visit a friend in Bath yesterday; spent the whole evening and most of the night drinking and catching up and then came home today. it's a beautiful city; have you been? but a long drive....now needing sleep...and needing to plan lessons... and instead am on here! bet it's good to know other people procrastinate too!!! xxx
