It's the inauguration of my new layout! It's adorable, eh? ^^ I did the artwork myself - actually, the picture is one that I posted on DeviantArt not too long ago -, and used a template of a div overlay structure, because I have very little knowledge in that. I can only modify templates, can't create them from scratches! ^-^;;
Whis is too bad really...
Aaaanyway, it's april now! It's the month of my bday! Yay! And it means that better temperatures are coming our way! ^-^ I can't wait to have fresh, relaxing 16°, sunny days. *smiles*

I learned something new.
I. HATE. Sociology.
I do.
I also hate the fact that the teacher gives 80% of the points on the methodology (margins, paragraphs, bibliography, etc.) and 20% only on the goddamn content of the reports. I mean, HELLO??!! How can you claim to evaluate a student's knowledge this way?! Oh yes, in sociology, which is supposed to be material on societies, I learn the *good* way of producing a report, so that it fits all criterias.
That class is freaking BS, with a capital "B". Period.
*hisses and goes back to doing her homework*

Today, there was an election in order to decide the candidate that would represent Québec Solidaire, and I was one of the two persons taking care of doing the final vote count. While we made the count, we realised something that made feel extremely bad inside - one of the candidate had no vote at all, besides his own. Knowing that it would be publicly announced afterwards, it made me feel horrible - I know politics is harsh by its very nature, but still, that is so hard to take, when you have the courage of your convictions, the strength of character to actually propose yourself as a candidate. Of course, it isn't as though anyone voted *against* the candidate, but how, realistically, can we not take it personnal with results such as these? Rationnality is one thing - but sometimes, it just doesn't apply in real life. Waiting for the final results to be announced after giving them to the one supervising the investiture was like a slow wait towards what I see no differently from a public massacre. It was horrible, really - to know what is coming, to see that candidate, entirely unaware of it all, talking and smiling, and to be unable to do anything about it. Nevermind how rational you are, something like that would destroy the selfconfidence of anyone.
I still feel uneasy about it all. My friend and I went to see the candidate and told him he did a good job, put many admirable efforts into it even so - he was smiling, but it was obvious he was still digesting it all.
I never was much into politics, but now, I feel no real enthusiast towards it. I know, however, that I never went to see something like that again. And moreoever, that I never, ever, want to participate to anything remotely similar.
I still can't shake off the uneasy feeling I had, after all.

School started up today. Isn't it great when you finish your first day with the *~certainty~* that your average in all classes will be over 90%? I have a nice feeling about it all. Well, I do feel quite confident, in any case. Plus, I have so much free time...... I really do feel as though it will be a great semester~! I'll even get to actually spend some time on
DA all over again~~~ ^^
