Oh, yes. Roddenberry kicking it was probably the worst thing to happen to the franchise. Voyager was bad, Enterprise was worse. Waaay too much time travel. Obligatory sexy alien on the crew. Now this movie. Ugh, everything I've ever loved is being remade for a younger, more mainstream audience. In the future, this will be known as the Dark Ages for all geekdom.

I must now embark on a quest to find the elusive Elixir of Youth.
That way I keep the WIS bonus but lose the DEX penalty.

For me, the other candidates are simply not liberal enough. The Democrats are just moderates with a slight liberal bent. Unlike the rest of America, when I say I want 'change' in the White House, I actually mean it. You don't get change voting for yet another conservative, nor do you get it from voting for a moderate. For some reason, though, these days being 'liberal' is a dirty word. It's why the Democrats keep losing. They try and appeal to the moderates, and so the disenchanted liberals like myself vote for independents instead. Not that it matters too much to me who wins. Obama and McCain, pretty much the same to me. I don't live in a swing state, so it really doesn't matter who I vote for. The electoral votes of Washington are going to Obama no matter what I do anyway.

WHAT?! Are you serious? Damn, I wish someone had told me that before I voted for him all of those times! But yes, I seriously donated $100 to his campaign. Back in high school, I donated twice that much to the MDA. They STILL haven't cured muscular dystrophy yet, though. They may never. I still don't consider it a waste of my money, though. Besides, Nader could use that cash. A mere $100--heck, even $1,000--is a drop in the hat to McCain or Obama.
Hell, McCain probably tips his stewardess that much (by whom I mean Palin--haha!) :D

Breaking news! Odin’s Court has just signed to ProgRock Records!

You can preorder the new CD Deathanity as of today.

Deathanity is the latest effort from Odin’s Court, a Maryland, USA band.
Deathanity is an ambitious concept album dealing with the effects mankind’s actions are having on the planet. Alternate views are offered through the use of instrumentation, lyrics, sound effects, and various vocal clips. Ambience, dynamics, and soul are combined with complexity, groove, and energy in a song oriented structure, to create a unique, surreal landscape. Each song, dealing with a different theme, is accompanied by a newly created word and definition in the album art.
Special guest vocalists include Tom Englund (Evergrey) and Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica).
