So basically, I'm 22 as of May 3, 2009 but I still feel like a teenager. I think I'm easy to get along with. I'm kinda shy at first but then I warm up later. I'm kind of a nerd, you may be able to tell after you talk with me for a while, but I'm proud of that.

I'm a thinker, I feel a lot too but it may take more effort to understand me than average, but it's worth it. ^_^
I get most of my internal strength and motivation and just general well-being from external sources. Really, you have no idea how much good a simple acknowledgment does.
Ok then. Let's see, if you meet me or see me in person, I may seem aloof or apathetic, but that's completely false. I have a form of autism called Asperger's syndrome so I'm imparied in:
-Social interaction
-Communication, verbal and non-verbal
-Repetitive behaviors or rituals;
-Peculiarities in speech and language;
-Problems with nonverbal cues
-lack of empathy
-trouble with eye contact
-Clumsy and uncoordinated motor movements

So, I'm a nice guy, I'm just a little less developed socially than normal.

It's important to remember that the person with AS perceives the world very differently. Therefore, many behaviors that seem odd or unusual are due to those neurological differences and not the result of intentional rudeness or bad behavior, and most certainly not the result of "improper parenting".
I would love to go out and do fun stuff with people, it just feels like no one wants to do anything with me. If you want to go do something, give me a call (message me for my number).
I do get depressed sometimes, but I'm actually a pretty warm person inside. A few have told me that my heart is gold.
I always try to find something positive about everyone. I like cheering people up, but I don't patronize, I'm honest in what I say. I just don't do it as much as I'd like because, well I don't know what to say for a particular person a lot of the time. I like giving hugs, not spontaneously, just if someone wants or needs one. Don't feel awkward about giving me a hug. If I'm talking to you and I don't say much or I seem uninterested (like no eye contact), don't worry, I'm not much of a talker without something getting the ball rolling first, like with small talk. (see Asperger note #1) I think there may be some friends and good acquaintances that I care about more than they may think. I tend to get attached to people fairly easily so that may result in me caring more about them than they do about me. I'm almost always thinking of compliments and positive stuff, I'm just too shy to say them or I don't know how I should say them. That's a real bummer because I know some really wonderful people. I am a little more talkative and outgoing on the internet usually (myspace, e-mail, ya know).
