Some of their later stuff before she went solo reminded me of a more gothic Suzanne Vega (which believe me, is odd, I didn't like it) If you like bands that are dark with female vocals you should definetely hear Cocteau Twins, Thrushes, Cranes, Violet Indiana and for more Shoegazer type stuff yet still with female singers (especially Rachel Goswell) who have beautiful voices you should definetely hear Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine and Autumn's Grey Solace..... DO IT!! Also, I'm very annoyed at the fact I won't be able to see Diamanda Galas play this year, I'm sure she's coming to the UK but according to a friend of mine there's no way I can make it. ARGH!!

Also, the ammount of people being Hope Sandoval fans is becoming ridiculous, I suppose her voice is quite nice but I've never actually liked more than half of the songs on any Mazzy Star Albums.
