Podfest is a showcase for independent artists and bands looking to raise their profile in the industry and gain exposure to new audiences. It takes place once a month, every first Thursday night at The Purple Turtle, Mornington Crescent, Camden. Our aim is to provide artists and bands with the network of resources that will help them put together projects, make inroads into the industry and gain new fans. We see this as a positive and creative relationship with artists and bands rather than just a gig. As such PODFEST EVENTS ARE UNPAID. If however we can see that artists are prepared to promote themselves well, then we'll also do our bit and offer that artist or band a nominal guarantee on door takings. We want to feature our artists here at Podfest so an evening will normally see 3 or 4 artists/bands playing from between 20 mins to half an hour for solo and accoustic acts to between 30 and 40 mins for bands. Of course this format is not set in stone and can vary if circumstances require. We generally allow solo artists/duos to bring 2 free guests, whilst bands are allowed up to 4 guests. The venue is in the heart of Camden and just across from Mornington Crescent tube station. Backline can be provided although we prefer for bands to communicate with each other to share equipment as necessary.

2005 was a year of gathering momentum. "I'm So In Love With You" was transformed into a house track entitled "So In Love" - TMD feat J5, (J5 being his cool, down with tha kids, street name), and received around 20 plays on Radio One Aug-Sept 05. The track was endorsed by DJ's Spoony, Coco, Da Bank and Pete Tong, who kindly put it on his Essential Selection Compilation 2005. The track has been licensed by major dance label "Hed Kandi" (Ministry of Sound) and features on the excellent 'Beach House' Compilation as well as the world famous 'Hed Kandi Summer Sampler' - both available from all good record stores. 'So In Love' is due for full international release ... at some point.

Hey hows you? just wanted to mention iam touring all over the UK from september for a year, traveling all over got the first 4 months up and adding more and more to it, the first 3 months is for Busking For Cancer :) in Aid for cancer research, all the shows are free so would be awesome to see you at a show supporting wat im touring for, check out our dates and if we arnt playing in your area then please do let us know cause it is for a FULL year so we wanna get everywhere and anywhere :) also recording new stuff this weekend so new songs will be up :) anyways hoping ur having a good start to the summer.
