About me:

from rented rooms
like comfortable tombs
we experience the world
passing by our windows

news of lives lost
affects our outrage not
as our distracted lives
equate to something so hollow

as farmland sprouts condos
cheaply made for profits that follow
i question the sustainability
and sanity of our prophets' modes

and yet i stay quiet
powerless as a poet
to achieve anything other than
cognitive dissonance in the shadows

with my nose in a book
learning how diseases look
i hope to heal the hands who will
change the direction of this death row

the Illead has been written
Oedipus Rex has been smitten
Saul Williams is still spittin
so what needs the world another Plato?

with my crisp uniform
i battle injuries in the dark morn
i will save lives as an optimist
as a new dawn breaks i feel the sun glow

never stop writing
never stop fighting
contribute to the consciousness
pray for patient change as the wind blows

I play the saxophone amongst other instruments. I like to play when ever I can. I write poetry and sometimes prose. I paint and doodle. I'm going to school for radiology at Moorpark College.
