Alpha trion is a newly found force that was created and started in the
thoughts and mind of Curt Wells, what had started as ideas for fun led to finding ones own sound. After stepping into the world of Extended range guitars and now owning and playing the 8 string it led Curt to create something new and different from his previous thrash Metal roots, through the process of home recording and engineering and many long hours spent figuring things out a new idea and sound was born. This new sound kept evolving while feeling more and more natural as time went on, the material was jammed with previous band for fun but Curt knew that the right individuals for this project where out there and could feel it was time to make it happen.
So after the concept of the idea becoming a band kicking around for about a year Jon Morrison was found through his efforts and recognition in the bleed youtube meshuggah competition and immediately fit perfectly. Long time friend and bassist Rae Aberdeen had extreme passion towards this new material and was the first choice and best fit for the gig and is now currently playing bass and doing all the bands graphic design. In the beginning a good friend from an online forum Bryan Gobbi was the second guitarist but moved away due to personal reasons and left the second guitarist position open. With this there was a rock in a tight place as the demand for not only similar musical tastes but let alone gear requirements was gonna make the fit for a new guitarist really hard.. or so it would've seemed. Things became apparent that everything was falling perfectly into place for this band when new guitarist and friend Leo Pedersen was asked to fill the gig whilst he was having his own thoughts on how he needed to be in this band and wanted to play this music.
Through this awesome chain of events that has seemed to have everything come together as it should the band is feeling strong and confident on the material at hand and the things to come as they will be adding alot to the sonic landscape that is Alpha Trions music. Look forward to the diverse wall of sound that is gonna be making its way to the live stage in early 2009

Hi Leo. I have seen the prototype guitar straps. Hopefully we will have them in Canada next month. The Guitar Case roadies just arrived. I am going to try and get the extension cords approved for Canada so those aren't available here yet either. For now it is the retractable instrument/mic/speaker cables, retractable MP3 earbuds, suspended mic stands (clamp or magnet) and the guitar case roadies (well t shirts too...)
