When their new singer joined they changed from Screamo/Postcore to something new that is not defined in the hardcore-scene, called “aimcore” and implies mostly Metalcore with elements from all the other -core mixes like post-core, deathcore, screamo and some electronical sounds: .. ....Evil and brutal screams, shouts and growls of singer Andy, fast and melodic riffs of the two guitarists, as well as thundering breakdowns, tight bass-lines and dubbing drums. But even in all this harshness aimforthehead do not miss out expressive clean vocals and catchy guitar-melodies. .... ....The lyrics deal with personal experiences, the deceptions of some relationships and the meaning in tragedy. .... ..aimforthehead released their first self-made EP in April 2010 called “dying: in progress” which contains four songs plus one bonus track. They convince their audience with brute action on the stage and deliver sick live-shows to leave euphoric impressions in their heads what aimforthehead is aiming for. .. ..----------------------------.. ..Seit ihrer Gründung 2006 hat die Band eine bedeutende soundtechnische Entwicklung durch gemacht. Aus anfänglichem Screamo/Postcore wurde etwas geschaffen das bis dato in der Hardcore-Szene keine Definition findet. Dieses Soundgewand, genannt „aimcore“, basiert auf Metalcore, angereichert mit Elementen aus all den anderen Core Mixturen wie Postcore, Deathcore und Screamo sowie einigen elektronischen Sounds. .. ....Die nahezu bösen Screams, Shouts und Growls von Sänger Andi, die schnellen und melodiösen Riffs der beiden Gitarristen, sowie donnernde Breakdowns, tighte Basslines und knüppelnde Drums. Bei aller Härte lassen aimforthehead aber keinesfalls ausdrucksvolle Cleanpassagen und eingänige Gitarrenmelodien vermissen. .... ....Die Texte handeln von persönlichen Erfahrungen, falschen Beziehungen und die Bedeutung der Tragik. .... ..Ihre erste im April 2010 veröffentlichte EP, die die fünf Jungs selbst produzierten, trägt den Titel "dying: in progress" und enthält vier Songs sowie einen Bonustitel.
