I am a 68 year old Great-Grandmother who has just been published. My 1st 3 books are out. Here is a reviw by DC Studios: Review of ‘The Chosen’ Saga Books By A.M. Baker-Engel There was much I loved about this author’s books. The characters drew me in, the nature of their lives and their development was interesting. How these fanciful characters were interwoven through our natural history was a great discovery and made some sense in the grand scheme of things. I remain intrigued how the connections to Atlantis and other amazing unanswered mysteries of this planet were meticulously intertwined and inferred throughout these books. It was great reading and stands in line with a whole school of thought out there about our origins. I love that throughout the trilogy, [I understand a fourth books is due out in 2008] even when I thought I had a good sense where a turn was coming, I would find myself at times getting teary eyed... or felt joy with the characters.. or a sense of wonder when the humans would observe the animals in their care... I love that the author made the connections with the humans and their animal counter parts so emotionally connected... I have wondered what the Lashibu thoughts might be like... how they perceived their part in that magical world they lived in. It is truly amazing how author A.M. Baker-Engel built such a world and I hope to have the chance to revisit The Chosen, her tribe, the Yeskacatan, the Bashibumlu and all the fanciful characters again. Congratulations A.M. Baker-Engel on this most amazing leap forward and I wish you great future success. I look forward to the next book in this unique saga by this fascinating new Science-Fiction writer, A.M. AND HOW WAS THE END OF YOUR SUMMER?

Sorry it has taken so very long for me to contact my faithful followers, but it seems a spider had other ideas in mind for me! Please, let me explain and you can laugh later.

As you know, I am an author and artist and I would ask that you keep in mind I am right handed.

While thinking about a difficult section of my 5^th book and working on a lovely tiger puzzle, looked up and saw another big spider trying to find a warm winter home in my country house. I got up to remove the spider AND, foolishly instead of use my small stepladder, I stepped up on a chair, lost my balance AND!!!! fell with all my body weight on my right shoulder!!!

As I hit the floor on my right shoulder I heard a snap! Coming from a confused blackened mind I tried to get up BUT, the pain was so unwordable, so unbelievable, I had to work myself to my left side and crawl to an upright position, all the time cradling my right elbow with my left hand! My pain was truly beyond crying, only moans and gasps escaped my lips! Being home alone I knew I needed help immediately! I worked my way across the library on my knees, grabbed my cellular phone off the puzzle table and pushed my husband’s number!

The end excruciating results? I broke my upper right arm just below the shoulder ball joint and shoved the upper arm bone up to my collar bone. The next week was spent in drugged agony before a specialist did the surgery. He put a plate and 8 screws in my upper right arm and hoped I would get back some use of my arm! As of this moment I have some use of my arm, but still cannot do my art work. As you can see I can do some typing, but it takes forever.

I do so hope all of you had a much better end to your summer than did.
