MusicI play accordion, cello, musical saw, and mess around with slide guitar, and I'm always looking for more people to work on sound projects with! Life on the road has really decimated my CD collection. Do you like kazoos? So do I. I also like stuff like Rasputina, The Pixies, The Tigerlillies, Kate Bush, Tom Waits, Siouxie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, Nick Cave, Warren Zevon, Bartok, Chopin, Kino, La Minor, X, The Sugar Cubes, King Missile, The Ditty Bops, The Dicks, Iggy Pop, Led Zeppelin, The Smiths, Janis Joplin, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt, Uncle Tupelo ('n Pops Farrar), James Brown, Public Enemy, Easy E, The Velvet Underground, 7 Shot Screamers, Bad Folk, every street musician or preformer I ever saw, Punk and Rockabilly in gerneral, Rag and Vaudevale in particular, and alot of Pre-1970's American Blues and Country music- especially stuff like the Alan Lomax recordings- and I really like those R. C. Crumb blues compilations!
BooksOld dusty ones, commic books (Tank Girl, Spyashchii Zver, Love And Rockets, Maus, Persepolis... etc), black comedy, philosophy, how-to, politics, science, history, sometimes even math. My favorite books are Geek Love, and the Boy Scout Handbook. My favorite authors are Thomas Pynchon, Tom Robbins, Vladimir Nobikov, William S. Burroughs, Jacques Derrida, Hunter S. Thompson, and Richard Brautigan. I really like finding and/or making my own DIY 'zines and commic books with anti-copyrights. I dont usually have a permanent place to store books after I finish them. I wish someone would start making an Ipod for books and give one to me.
