I am mostly influenced by what i go thru in life... the shyt i see and go thru, the shyt i've seen and been thru from one day to the next... i'm inspired by the next mans complacency, while he's sleeping i'm up writing, while he's out clubbing i'm doing shows, while he laying around with some breezy i'm in the booth spittin...

Sounds Like
Something well worth every penny you spend on it. I work very hard at producing the best possible music I can and making sure I don't water down or sugar coat any of my shyt. You can expect the very best from myself and anyone you hear or see with me, because "I" won't settle for less... I'm something like amazing!!!
Gutta was born and raised in Austin, Texas and spent the majority of his life there. The only boy of six kids and the second oldest. His parents separated shortly after he was born, so his mother had to raise him and his siblings by herself. I guess the pressure of raising kids by herself became too much for her to handle because she fell victim to a nasty drug habit. However she has recovered beautifully and turned her life around completely. "I couldn't be more proud of her" says Gutta, "she is a shining example of how to overcome life's trials and tribulations". "At first it was just my older sister and I" he states. "Then my younger sisters came later, mom spent a lot of time in and out of jail so it was up to my older sister to raise the rest of us". Gutta says he started rapping as a means to vent frustration and the more he did it, the better he got at it. It quickly transformed in to a way entertain friends and impress chicks. However he didn't take it seriously until after high school when he attempted to join a couple of local rap groups but none showed any promise. He says "Then I ran into an old friend who introduced me to Checkmate who turned out to be someone I knew from a long time ago". "I went with him to his house to rap ripped a few tracks, he liked what he heard, and here we are now".
Gutta has come a long way since those humble beginnings, he has been tirelessly carving his lane in the hip hop community. He's done work with all sorts of artists and producers across the country like Fantom of the Beats (50 cent, Lil Kim) and Jimmy Kendrix (Murder Inc). He's widely regarded as the best hip hop artist in the "Live Music Capitol" of the world. An accusation that was solidified when he was crowned "Lyricist Of The Year" at the 2008 Austin Hip Hop Awards. Some even go as far as ranking him in the top 5 in the state and are supremely confident that he will be a lasting figure in hip hop once given the opportunity make his mark. He's been featured on countless mixtapes by some of the hottest DJ's in the game like DJ Chuck T (Down South Slangin) and his latest effort with DJ Raze One (Blu Division). Since his arrival on the hip hop circuit he has been a force to be reckoned with. Known for his magnetic personality, witty realism, incredible wordplay and distinctive voice, Gutta is planting his seed in the music industry. The Austin born emcee is set to unleash his distinctive sound onto the world. His repertoire includes obliterating unsuspecting victims in lyrical battles and cultivating ground-breaking music.
His current project entitled "Feed Me Beats" a collaboration with DJ Raze One is the highly anticipated follow up to "Industrial Strenff". "Industrial Strenff" was very well received earning Gutta a 3 tape rating on a 4 tape scale on Rapmullet.com. The review for the tape was done by Big Chew one of the sites founders and an extremely harsh critic to say the least. However Big Chew found himself using the word "classic" on several occassions thru out the review when referring to the overwhelming display of skill Gutta demonstrated. His latest effort has been picking up steam at an alarming rate thus far. Hosted and mixed my Blu Division's DJ Raze One this tape has Gutta in rare form showing more diversity and song writing ability. DJ Raze One keeps the tape moving with his expert song selection and placement and effortless transitions. Will Feed Me Beats surpass the success of its predecessor? Will this be the project that puts Gutta closer to becoming a hip hop icon? Only time will tell.
