The sound that comes from is 15 year old named Aamani makes you want to say that she has been here before. Born in Compton, CA and raised in Atlanta, GA, Aamani showed true star quality singing at a young age. This California native ATLien, knew that she would be the Soul of the New Generation, when she told her mother at 7 years old that she had a dream about performing on a stage in front of millions of people.
The Soul of the New Generation sound comes from the strength that Aamani’s seen from her mother, father, aunt, and grandmother raising her and her two sisters. She has concentrated her sound into emulating her singing idol Patti Labelle. Many say that she already has the big “Labelle” sound at 15.
This live and vibrant songstress describes her sound as “uniquely soulful” blending soul with Hip Hop, Pop and International beats. Aamani has been able to live her singing dream by the dedication of her mother and mentor, Latasha Hutson. Her mother has dedicated her spare time to make sure that Aamani has had every opportunity to sing via singing competitions or various events. These events ranged from crowds of 500 to 20,000 people. Aamani is known around Atlanta for raising the bar during local singing competitions as she has won several in the adult category.
Other than singing and spending time with her family, Aamani is a typical high school girl who likes to dance, skate, hang with friends, and shop.
Aamani has already worked with such producers as CeddMack and T.K. She has also worked with award-winning writer O’Leathia “Butta” Robinson. D. Woods (formerly of Danity Kane), B-5 and Tameka “Tiny” Cottle (formerly of Xscape) have been quoted as saying that Aamani’s voice is amazing and they are looking forward to hearing her album.
Aamani is currently living the possible dream in the studio working on completing her debut project. Her album will feature the Soul of the New Generation sound that is a mix of powerful vocal ability and beats from various music genres.
Aamani is looking for a label home to showcase her talent.
