I hardly read books, but when I do I enjoy Alex Cross Novels by James Patterson.
My name is Aaron Arthur Aguilera. I was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 17th, 1989. I lived in Pontiac until I was almost five years old (October 1994), then moved to the Whispering Woods apartment complex in Waterford, Michigan. After spending most of of childhood there I moved to North Port, Florida in September of 2003. On June 11th, 2007 I joined the United States Navy and became an Information Systems Technician on November 9th later that year. Since then I have been stationed on board the USS Gettysburg hoping to one day use the military to my advantage to start and possibly finish a college degree.
I like things neat and sometimes perfect, but I know how to take a load off and be a slob. I can only handle so much, and the perfection really only seems to come into play when I'm producing something. I like doing something well and raising the standard of someone else. I usually inspect my work and review a few times before presenting to someone else.
I'm somewhat cynical and skeptical, but not in a philosophical way. I don't have enough time for that and I'm not interested anyway. I'm also pretty outspoken. If I don't like someone they find out pretty quickly. If I think that something is wrong, I point it out very quickly as well. I don't like beating around the bush and I guess that kind of makes me a jerk. I really don't say everything that I say to hurt people, I just don't like holding back. Although I am assertive when it comes to my dislikes, I can also be understanding. If someone doesn't like something that I do, I am wide open to listening as long as it can be kept at a mature level.
I like wearing black shirts; band/album shirts in particular. I mainly wear regular fitting blue jeans because they're cheap, easy to find, and they match my shirts. I wear my underwear at level with my jeans because I haven't been to prison and never will be. The only exception is when I'm missing my belt (not all of them fit me perfectly). I like dressing this way because it displays my music interests and shows that I don't require high maintenance.
I am a fan of heavy metal music and many of its sub-genres; death metal being my favorite with a wide variety of styles. I really like heavy metal because it seems much more superior than any other music genre. It takes musical talent that takes years to build up and it's also very versatile. (Just because you can't understand what a band is saying or haven't heard of them doesn't mean they suck.) I like technical, melodic and progressive elements the best when it comes to almost any genre. I listen to a wide range of heavy metal including dark and depressive (Agalloch) to positive and energetic (Dream Theater). I really like listening to guitarwork, so you don't want to find yourself next to me when a solo I like comes on. You might end up being embarassed. :P
I extremely dislike rap music, and I can tolerate small amounts of hip-hop. I dislike these kinds of music because it seems like all they ever talk about are themselves, money and sex. I know that is a generalization, but I can't hear a rap song being played without the rapper talking about how no one is a better rapper than him, and how he's got all sorts of "bitches". It seems very repetetive and self-centered to me.
I'm not religious by any means. I grew up Catholic, but when I was old enough to question God's existence I stopped believing. Since my disbelief, I've given a chance at reading about him and collecting facts, but haven't found anything that quite convinces me. A lot of it just seems like it could be a huge elaborate hoax. If it (the bible) is true though, I will find out in time according to the Revelation chapter in the bible and I will believe. I haven't given other religions a chance because if anything, the idea of God seems more believable and unique.
Might as well have this here too...
