The son of not one, but two music teachers, Aaron began his study at the age of 5. While studying piano, Aaron also discovered his love for pounding things and making noise.
While still a high school student, Aaron studied the full concert percussion section. He performed with the Bradley and Butler University Honor Bands, Danville Municipal Band, Danville Light Opera, Beef House Dinner Theatre Co., The Has Beens, Lake Erie Regiment Drum & Bugle corps, and IMEA district Jazz Band among others.
After he graduated in 2005, Aaron continued playing with various professional organizations. In 2006 he joined power-trio "Deeper Blues," featuring bassist/vocalist Lane Baldwin and Gary Jones on guitar. Aaron did some extensive road work with the band between the summer's of 2006 and 2007. He also recorded the group's full-length studio album "Dig The Hole."
Aaron is currently working towards his B.A. in Music Business at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. While studying under Prof. Ron Coulter, Aaron performs with the SIU-C Studio Jazz Ensemble, Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra, and SIU-C Jazz Combo. While continuing to accept live and studio dates when available, he can also be seen performing with up and coming Alternative/Hip Hop/Soul band "MATHIEN." for show dates and up to date information visit www.myspace.com/mathien
