When a beer was left outside overnight (without being tied to a branch of a tree), the two adventurers awoke to meet Alissa the Bear in the morning, drunk and passed out in the yard with a Saxophone in her paws. Ben joined when he stole $50 of Sushi from Fry's and a Bass and Amp from Guitar Center. His guile is crucial to the success of the endeavor. The collaboration of these four individuals led to the creation of the Hungyr Stryke Project, a conceptual Eco-Funk performance art project. Freelancing Djembe virtuouso Anne joined to give ABSO that jungle feel and thumb fiddler Tobie augmented the band's Klezmer roots.
