My Mom and Dad are Survivors
My Mom and Dad are survivors, or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear them crying at night when all others are in bed.
I watch them lay awake at night and go to hold their hand.
They don't know I'm with them to help them understand.
But like the sands on the beach that never wash away . . .
I watch over my surviving Mom and Dad who think of me each day.
They wear a smile for others . . . a smile of disguise!
But through Heaven's door I see tears flowing from their eyes.
My Mom and Dad try to cope with death to keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows them know it is their way to survive.
As I watch over my surviving Mom and Dad through Heaven's open door..
I try to tell them that angels protect me forevermore.
I know that doesn't help them. . . or ease the burden they bear.
So if you get a chance, go visit them. . . and show them that you care.
For no matter what they say . . . no matter what they feel.
My surviving Mom and Dad have a broken heart
that time won't ever heal

Who I'd like to meet: How to lead a Football Team
Aaron is leaving many legacies, as he is a young man of integrity, honor and a natural born leader.
The following will be his legacy for anyone passionate about any game, but especially the football game as Aaron and his Dad are.
Aaron wrote this on 11-06-2004
To lead a football team you need to have a few vital things. First you need to have confidence in every single one of your players. Because there are eleven guys out on the football field at once, not one, like golf or tennis.
So in order to lead a team you need to have confidence in each player. When everyone realizes you have confidence in them, they will have confidence that you are going to get your job done. Second, you need to be the bravest player on that field. Whether its going up against the biggest player on the field or knowing that you are going to get nailed, if you are brave you won't worry about getting beat up, you will look at it as taking a blow for your team in order to have a better chance at succeeding. Also, you will need to have a good knowledge of the game. By having knowledge of the game you have a better chance of knowing what is going to happen. Some players might eventually ask what they need to do and by having knowledge you not only know what you are doing but what everyone is doing. Finally you need to have a desire. If you have a desire to do something no matter what it is on the field, you will stop at nothing to get it. And that is seen as being superior to everyone on the field. By having these few things, you will be able to lead a football team in any direction you want.

Im constantly reminded of memories that we shared together, it seems like every day I think of another memory of you and I growing up together. It seems like you were with me every step of the way when I was growing up.
And you know what, It is no different now. I KNOW that you are here right by my side, every step of the way. When times get hard for me, I know that i can STILL count on you to help me get through. You give me strength.
