everything you hear on these tracks was developed by yours truely. i work with various artists as you'll hear over time but predominantly its all me, myself and I.
Check out my boy Vince on the track 'King of Hearts' for example. Vince came to me with a melody and some lyrics, and described loosely how he thought it should sound. The chords came to me instantly and within a few hours of throwin some ideas about we'd crafted the foundations of one of our personal favourites.
'Turn Me Down' features my boy Ovecast. We go back a long way and we've always lent our talents to eachother where applicable. I grew up alongside him from day dot and musically we've always seemed to click when it comes to our infinite love for oldschool Hip Hop. So what better way to show it than by remixin Django Reinhardt's take on 'Blue Drag' and spittin bout our other loves...... burlesque and booze.
' Dazed and Confused features my bredrin Xorael. It was the product of our first ever session together and pretty much wrote itself. I wanted to take Xorael away from his usual comfort zone and see him display his mature, soulful vocal on a punchy oldschool blues/rock joint.

Sounds Like
i hate when people say "im so unique and i dont sound like anything" but to be fair no one aims to sound like someone else. So you tell me what I sound like!
Well as you've guessed my names Aaron Delahunty. born november 1987, Im a through and through london guy born and raised. With that i've soaked up a whole lotta culture and been heavily influenced by the diversity of my hometown.
I was born into the tail end of the acid house scene and brought up (or should i say dragged up) on the sounds of artists such as massive attack and chemical brothers etc. basically the soundtracks of britain on its early 90's comedown!
as i grew up, i always sang along to whatever was playin in the house as most do but it werent it until the boom of the nu-metal scene of the early 00's that i dicovered that i had a voice. It werent much, but a voice none the less. along with my new found talent i took up my underlyin ambition of playin the guitar, and from that day forward, it was these two things that would mould the course of my future.
throughout my life and freindship circles hip hop was always a constant thing that saw me through a lot of tough times. spittin bars always seemed such a good way of ventin all the pent up feelins id built up through the difficulties of my childhood. Even though id kick back droppin lyrics over old mixtapes with my boys, i could also be found bangin out old rock'n'roll covers in my bredrins attic.
as time went on i grew from strength to strengh and really began to realize that this was what i was spawned to do. No one else in the fam had any real musical ability so it was kind of a lonely time at home when it came to the understanding that i wanted to be a musician. Plenty of that "well you should have something to fall back on" kinda talk. But as time passed, i improved to a point that would abolish that way of thinkin and gain me a lot of support.
Throughout my school days i played in various bands and spent most of my time writin lyrics and hooks as oppose to readin or writin whatever i should have been.after leavin school i went to college to study music business and performance etc at the british academy of new music in bromley by bow up in east london. throughout my time there i got to grips with production software and really started to come out of my shell as a vocalist. eventually i was livin in nearby Bow E3. the motherland of pure grimey urban sound. just bein there influenced and inspired me massively as an artist. my guys up there certainly showed me a thing or to i swear! it was durin my time there i really knuckled down and focused all my attention into budding as an engineer and producer. workin with different voices and sounds really allowed me to discover what i was capable of and what i wanted from myself as a songwriter.
from there my life took a huge turn when i entered a reality tv show..... and for those who werent already aware of this, i beg you dont judge me!
you do what you gots to do right? any ways a way in as far as im concerned.
seriously though it was weird bein who i am on such a show. all originality i had strived to develope was deabilitated right in front of me. i had to be a completely different guy and all the while try and retain some sense of who i was within. to give credit where its due, bein involved with such a commercial medium has given me the opportunity to be a full time performer, but in terms of the direction i want to take as an artist, its worked against me if anything.
i am still with 'Futureproof' (the band i was with on the show), doing shows around the country but i feel with the new season of the show in full swing, its now time for me to really show who i am.
throughout this past year i have learned so much about the industry. i mean i studied it at college but you can never truely know what its really like until you live it. Its weird how within such a short period of time ive gone from playin pubs and clubs to playin arenas and stadiums. Dealin with shady promoters to workin with some serious guys in the game. life has been some kind of madness and i am eternally grateful for the opportunities i have received, however it hasnt unfolded in the way i truely feel is real to me.
so here it is. this is me and this is what ive got. i hope you enjoy.
bless!!!!!!!
