About me:
Afternoon show host and PD at 101.7 The Fuse in Saginaw, MI. Check out the station at 1017thefusecom. Been a music lover/collector all my life, though I like all kinds of music, you might call me a hip-hop kid, growing up on a steady diet of DCTalk, (you ready to go old school?) ETW, Dynamic Twins, SFC, Mike-E, and PID. Let's just say, "We've come a long way baby." Diggin' what 4th Ave. LA Symph, DJ Maj, and John Reuben are puttin' out right now on that front (and of course TMac). Random music observations. Careers that should have skyrocketed but didn't: Fleming and John, Johnny Q. Public, and Hokus Pick. Best things that ever happened to message based music: Steve Taylor, Toby Mac, and Switchfoot. Our dog is named Switchfoot (and I have two Nintendogs named Toby and Taylor.) Best new artists I've heard in a long time: The Rocket Summer, Britt Nicole, Family Force 5.
I also love Pop culture and spend much of my life discussing, writing, speaking, and doing seminars about TV, Movies, and the like. Can we just finally admit that Reality TV is here to stay? How is it that I never saw Firefly when it was on the first time? (get these DVDs today) Hmmmm, World Series or World Series of Poker? (Hint: I'm All-In) Is there anyway that Prince Caspian will do as well as LWAW in 08?
I have a beautiful wife and 4 awesome boys (8,7,4,3) to round out the local Dicer clan, and we love watching Veggie Tales, Backyardigans, and Extreme Home Makeover together; playing Wii Sports, Galaxy, and old school Mario on the Wii (and Picross and Clubhouse Games on the DS) We also like all sports, and it is required to root for the Detroit team (Heartbreaking Lions, 1st place Red Wings, NBA Stud Pistons, Resurgent Tigers) or U of Mich in college. To play, we love disc golf, soccer and basketball in the back yard.
