Aaron Joyce is a singer-songwriter/composer/guitarist/steel guitarist from living and working in the Vancouver area. He began playing guitar seriously at age 14 and studied jazz guitar at Capilano College after high school.
In 2003, frustrated with the guitar (and music in general), he began playing lap steel guitar as a hobby. Before long, he found himself playing regularly with performers like Rae Spoon, Po'Girl and Ridley Bent. Several international folk festivals and Canada-wide tours later, Aaron has become an integral part of the music scene in Western Canada.
Other artists he has played with include: The Seams, Carolyn Mark, Luther Wright, Alana Levondoski, Rodney deCroo, Tons of Fun University, James Lamb, Jess Hill and Yael Wand.
He composes for and performs in The Microscopic- a chamber music collective that ranges from baroque to jazz and from bluegrass to indian music.
He is the principle composer and lead vocalist/electric guitarist in the progressive rock band A Ghost To Kill Again.
He has a ever-growing catalogue of singer-songwriter material that includes collaborations with Rae Spoon, Aaron Grant and Coco Love Alcorn.
