Aaron grew up in Iowa, a state known for the darkness of its rock output a la Slipknot, in the city of Fairfield, a town known as the American center of TM, the teaching of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (yep the Beatles guru). And you might say that the music Aaron makes is what happens when the dark midwestern underbelly collides with its light eastern looking counterpart.
Aaron began writing songs on guitar at 12, programming electronica on his PC at 14, and then moved to Olympia, WA, at 17 to study audio recording at Evergreen State College. In late 2005, at 21, Aaron moved to LA to begin recording Science Of the Subconsciouse with producer Herb Graham, Jr (John Cale, Macy Gray).
Science Of The Subconscious is currently in LA, continuing work on the CD and playing shows throughout Southern California and soon to be on tour up and down the west coast. You can check out Science Of the Subconsciouse at myspace.com/sotsmusik, or at their Indie 911 page as well.
