"HE BELIEVED" is in GAC’s top 50 video countdown for 2007
A thank you fron Aaron
"Man, I am so thrilled that "HE BELIEVED" was in the top 50 videos for the year on GAC. It is extra special because Thea and I wrote that song about my Dad and the video has our son Teddy in it and we tried to put a lot of things in there that represent who my Dad was (the airplanes, the cross, his ballcap from when he was a T-AGOS ship captain, pictures of him through the years). I want to say a big thanks to you for taking the time to vote. I can’t think of any of the videos I’ve done in the past that I would rather have in this countdown. It wouldn’t have happened without all of you. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

AARON TIPPIN "NOW AND THEN" IN COUNTRY WEEKLY
Hey there all! Check out some press coverage Aaron Tippin has in the Country Weekly! There is an article you can read and a album review for "Now And Then".
"
Aaron Tippin Kicks Into Overdrive with Trucker-Dedicated Release
(Nashville, TN - January 13, 2009) – Just when you think he's hit his stride the hardest working man in country music kicks it into overdrive! In Overdrive debuts February 3 on NIPPIT - Country Crossing Records. Aaron Tippin co-produced with Tim Grogan and the executive producer is label head James Stroud. This album of country classics was created for the American trucking professional and the people who care about them.
And when it comes to picking, recording and sequencing songs for an album like this, Aaron Tippin qualifies for this honor in a big way. His unique perspective comes from his own fair share of time spent behind the wheel of the big rigs and the lifestyle that goes with it.
"I've had my heart set on doing this album for a long time," Tippin recalls. "Now, with the current economic state, I'm reminded of the unsung heroes of the road, that legion of devoted Americans, some 4 million strong, who make their living in the trucking industry and hammer down, day after day. And I wanted to make this record for them."
Tippin always loved everything about the trucking industry. "It's part of my chemical makeup I guess," he explains. "I love the way the trucks look, the shine, the mechanics, the ride, roar and the ruckus you feel when you pass a monster convoy or experience hundred of tough-looking rigs rolling into a trucking convention or NASCAR race. I can appreciate the tireless and ongoing mammoth effort that goes into moving America... I'm humbled to thank my friends in the trucking business by singing my favorite road songs for them as we all roll on down the road."
In Overdrive will be available on the NIPPIT Records Country Crossing label, distributed by RED Distribution. Tracks include:
East Bound and Down
Truck Drivin' Man
Drivin' My Life Away

Aaron Tippin and Newt Gingrich
Like many Americans, platinum-selling recording artist, songwriter and producer Aaron Tippin is tired of paying too much for gas while Congress does nothing about it. Tippin has taken action by writing "Drill Here, Drill Now," a song about what Americans can do and should do to correct the problem.
The song is in direct alignment with Newt Gingrich's American Solutions Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less petition campaign. It has gathered nearly 1.5 million signatures to date. Visit petition at: www.americansolutions.com/actioncenter/petitions
The chorus of Tippin's new song says it all:
"Drill here, drill now…How 'bout some oil from our own soil that belongs to us anyhow…. No more debatin' we're tired of waitin' everybody shout out loud/Drill here, drill now." [Read lyrics below.]
In a powerful collision between pop culture and politics, Tippin is calling upon our nation's leaders to pay attention to Americans who are asking for a better solution--to drill here and drill now, so we can all pay less at the pump.
Newt Gingrich has always been a country music fan; Aaron Tippin has always been an outspoken artist who takes a stand for the hardworking American. The combination to tie Newt's message with Aaron Tippin's songwriting made for a natural fit.
As a supporter and frequent traveler to visit and perform for our American brothers and sisters in uniform, in Iraq and Afghanistan each year, Tippin understands and has experienced first-hand the importance of energy independence.
"Drill Here, Drill Now" is poised to send out a message throughout the country--and to Capitol Hill--to become the official rallying mantra to enforce American-made energy NOW!

"Drill Here, Drill Now" - lyrics
Hello…..Is anybody out there listenin' in Washington D.C.
This is the suffering voice of America crying out for relief
Now I don't know what a gallon of gas costs up on Capitol Hill
But we sure know what it costs down here in Realityville
And the damage already done has been a mighty heavy toll
And if we're gonna fix it we gotta start right here at home
CHORUS:
Drill here, drill now
How 'bout some oil from our own soil that belongs to us anyhow
No more debatin' we're tired of waitin' everybody shout out loud
Drill here, drill now
Every time a foreign tanker pulls up to our shore
They got us over a barrel while they bleed us a little more
And think how much it costs just to bring it all that way
And how many American jobs that'd make if we were drillin' in the USA
Oh and God forbid if our oily friends should decide to cut us off
We'd be standin' around with our britches down now listen to me ya'll
REPEAT CHORUS
Well the winds of change are blowin'
Yes and we recognize that need
But tractors, trucks, cars and planes can't run on tomorrow's dreams
So while we're workin' on the future we can't ignore today
Cuz who knows how much time the alternative might take
Somethin's gotta be done right now cuz friends it won't be long
Before this great big country comes grinding to a halt
The hardest working man in country music is back and ready for action. Though he was still touring heavily, he had not recorded new material for 3 years. After a 3 year break from recording, Aaron Tippin is now ready to share his new music with his devoted fans and catch some new ears along the way too.
After Aaron Tippin parted ways with Lyric Street Records in 2004, he began recording a new cd that he released on his own label called Nippit Records (Tippin spelled backwords). The album is titled "Now And Then" and is a mix of new songs and some of Aaron's greatest hits. Included in the new cd is a song that Aaron and his wife Thea wrote about his father who passed away a couple of years ago. The song is titled "He Believed" and holds a very special place in Aarons heart.
Along with recording "Now And Then," Aaron also released 2 brand new music videos: "Ready To Rock (In A Country Kind A Way)" and "He Believed" which starred Aaron's son Teddy as "young Aaron."
Aaron made his reputation with such hard core honkey tonkperformances as "Working Man's PH.D,""You've Got To Stand For Something" and "There Ain't Nothin Wrong With The Radio."
Tippin began performing in local honky tonks in the 1970's. He competed on the TNN show "You Can Be A Star" in 85, landed a songwriter's contract and moved to Music City in 86. Always a focused and purposeful man, Aaron created a work routine that was spartan in its intensity. He worked the midnight to dawn shift at a factory in KY, commuted to music row to write songs, lifted weights late every afternoon, went to bed, got up and did it all again!
The dedication started to pay off. He began winning body building competitions and artists such as Mark Collie, Diamond Rio, David Bell and the Mid-South Boys started recording his songs.
Aaron preformed his first Nashville night club show in 1990. It earned him a recording contract with RCA Records. Before ever setting foot on tour, he was afforded the oppotunity to join Bob Hope on a USO tour to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf war. After his return, his hit songs led to concert dates with Brooks and Dunn, Reba McEntire and Hank Williams jr. Aaron became one of the most memorable country artists of the 90's. In concert he invariably communicated the heart of a poet, the zeal of an evangelist, the humor of a class clown and the soul of a gladiator.
His hits sounded like no one else! "My Blue Angel," "That's As Close As I'll Get To Lovin You," and "I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way" formed a body of work that is totalty individual and in direct contrast to the sound alike records that characterized the era.
Five of his RCA albums went gold and one platinum. Between 1990-1997, Aaron scored six hit records and created such memorable moments as "Call Of The Wild," "I Got It Honest" and "Whole Lota Love On The Line". His work apeared on the soundtracks of films such as "The Beverly Hillbillies"(1993) and "Fire Down Below"(1997). He also became a national spokesman for Channel Lock Tools. Success as a song writer for others continued: Garth Brooks, Charley Pride and Kenny Chesney recorded Tippin tunes.
Aaron married his wife Thea in 1995. In 1997 they welcomed son Theodore into there lives with son Thomas ariving in 2000. Aaron also has a beautiful daughter, Charla from his first marriage. Charla is married to Kenneth a Blackhawk pilot in the S.C. Air National Guard. They live South Carolina.
Aaron signed with Lyric Street records in 1998 and immediately scored back to back hits with "For You I Will" and "I'm Leaving". Aaron's popularity spiked again in the new millenium thanks to chart topping hits "Kiss This" and " Where The Stars And Stripes And The Eagle Fly". He also received his 6th gold record and his 1st ACM award nomination.
For Aaron, his career became a lifestyle. "The fans are truly amazing. They are the reason I still have a job. I'm a very lucky man"
In 2002, Aaron went to Afghanistan and since then he has been making annual visits to our forces in Iraq and became the celebrity spokesman for the Paralyzed Veterans Of America, the Armed Services YMCA which takes care of the military families while their spouses are overseas, and Toys For Tots which the Marines founded. At every show Aaron puts together a bike onstage while performing and brings a Marine up and donates the bike to the children of the community that they are in for Toys For Tots. Aaron has donated over 600 bikes so far.
Aaron has been on "The Larry King Show," "Hannity And Colmes" and performed shows for the "Hannity Freedom Concert" and many benefits to support our troops.
On top of being one of the greatest performers to hit the country music scene, Aaron also has many other talents. He became a commercial pilot at the age of 17. He owns 4 planes and is also a hellicopter pilot. He is an avid hunter and looks forward personal time with his boys, teaching them how to hunt, fish and enjoy the great outdoors.
And don't think his talents end there, you can add welder, truck driver and wine maker to the list. Yes wine maker! Aaron has his own winery and is constantly creating different types of wine. He and Thea love to visit wineries when he has time off.
