"it's very much heart on sleeve time for this talented Birmingham singer songwriter. Aaron's warm voice adds a tingle down the spine to the feelings expressed, you share these moments with him but you know you do not want to be there: we can relate to that hurt... well worth trying to catch live"
(World Unlimited)
"Aaron is a deeply gifted songwriter who wears his heart on his sleeve.
Very influenced by artists like David Gray and Tom Baxter, his latest album "Taking The Time To Heal" is a mature collection of songs about the human condition. Aaron has the rare ability to share the intimate moments of his life with his audience, through this sharing experience he leads you through some difficult soul searching songs. The process is a rewarding experience for the listener as you come away with a feeling of kinship, that here is someone here who can put into words what you are feeling, who can express a certain moment in your life through his music"

Hailing from a suburb of Britain’s longtime underrated second city, Aaron Yorke is rapidly becoming one of the most talked about singer-songwriters in Britain today. Having slogged it out performing his own unique style of alternative acoustic/piano based songs for years, he became the talk of Birmingham in late 2007 after winning “Best unplugged act” on the Midlands based commercial FM station, BRMB. “I’ve been doing the same thing for the best part of a decade!” Aaron modestly quipped whilst backstage at last years Children In Need performance. “Its only recently that my phone’s started ringing a little more, I don’t know maybe I’ve finally figured how to actually pen songs that the kids seem to like?!”.
Yorke’s debut album ‘Taking The Time to Heal’ received critical acclaim throughout 2007. The album emotes brutal honesty with its author never being afraid to project exactly what he has learned about the human condition. Since its release in late 2006, Aaron has been compared to Tom Baxter, Damien Rice, David Gray and the emerging Newton Faulkner. With his new found confidence and unshakable belief Aaron and his band hit the road in 2007 and toured relentlessly. Continuing to produce himself, Yorke, alongside the accomplished pairing of Alex Reynolds (drums) and Ian Michaels (guitar) started work on a new studio project and it was the result of this one week session that set the foundation for what happened next. The effortless session culminated in a new EP entitled “To Feel Alive”. A handful of copies of this new offering were passed to Yorke’s trusted network of friends in promotion, regional radio and media. Less than a week after the new recordings were mastered in Yorke’s home studio, the Midlander received a call from BRMB telling him he had made the finals of a regional airplay competition. Aaron received a landslide victory from the public and won the competition hands down. Since winning the Best Unplugged Act 2007, Aaron performed an outstanding solo acoustic show on BBC’s Children In Need 2007 show which grabbed more rave reviews when he performed alongside David Gray, Annie Lennox and Kylie Minogue.
The loyal songsmith, who remains a fervently unsigned act, also concluded a great 2007 by performing alongside McFly, the Sugababes, Scouting For Girls and Leona Lewis to a packed out audience in his home city of Birmingham at the city’s 2007 Christmas lights show.
The Songwriter Cafe confidently said "You will remember these songs"; Aaron is an act who will most definately stand out in 2008.

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my 2nd horror novel SACRIFICE is now in stores everywhere, including Amazon.com! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride! Here are a couple reviews it's gotten so far:
“SACRIFICE is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend SACRIFICE.” —Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes
