As Above, So Below is a five piece alternative rock band from Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario. The guys try to make their music as unique as possible with influences such as The Dear Hunter, As Tall As Lions, Portugal. The Man, and many others. The band formed in April 2007 and played many shows within the Niagara region throughout 2008. As the member line up changed several times during 2008, the boys have had the privilege to share stages with The Junction, Lifestory:Monologue, The Reason and Canadian Idol winner Brian Melo. AASB also took part in S.C.E.N.E. Music festival 2008 in St. Catharines which featured Ill Scarlett, Cancer Bats, Lights, Shad and many more. In October 2008, they began to record a 6 song EP at Mastermind Studios. As they begin the new year, they plan on playing many more shows in the Niagara/Toronto region as well as releasing the EP.
"This is actually the band I would have picked to win, as they surely had the best understanding of stage presence. Their singer had probably the prettiest voice out of everyone there, ironically including the band with the female singer...
this band proved to be some of the better songwriters of the evening, and I actually felt myself pulled in for one of the first times that night."
