abacus roolz are neil grant (in france), stuart hobbs (in england) and gary sinclair (in australia). they first started recording in their hometown of glasgow around ten years ago and have carried on in spite if geography.
their new album 'the northern summer of abacus roolz' is their second release on abacus records and is out now (also available on itunes).
the first release 'the trials and tribulations of abacus roolz' came out in 2003, 'cold waltz' from the ep featured on the soundtrack for the multi award-winning film 'somersault' directed by cate shortland. Another abacus roolz track 'bucket fixer' is to feature in a new major two-part series on ABC directed by cate which will hit the screens in april (australia only) called 'the Silence'.
since april 2006 the band have also started their own vitual record label called Goldfilling Records which is very much in its infancy and is hoping to expand on its current roster of Abacus roolz, ex Beta-Band steve mason collaborator Kobra Audio Labs, Porch Song Anthology, the lost magnificence of the Hucksters, musician/inventor Chris Rainier, the wonderfull Senor Al Vaquero and the unluckiest band of all time The Candyskins - all of which are currently available for download at I-tunes, Bleep.com, Rough Trade Digital, Napster and many more music download sites. check out www.goldfillingrecords.com or keep an eye on our friends space for more details.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.

Medes is the solo project of producer AJ Cookson. Known for his remix work under alter-ego Forma (tKatKa, Death From Above 1979, The Knife, Matthew Rozeik, Score One For Safety), and formerly as the frontman for the explosive band The Montauk Projekt (“…some kind of locked on noise-bastard two-piece” – Organ Magazine), AJ has been a regular contributor to 100m collective projects since the label’s inception and has collaborated with many of the collective’s acts. He now delivers this outstanding and long awaited debut solo collection.
