O grupo ABAETETUBA (“encontro de gente boa” em Tupi-Guarani) foi fundado em 2004 a partir da iniciativa dos músicos Yedo Gibson e Antonio Panda Gianfratti que ja vinham trabalhando isoladamente com improvisacao desde 2000. As composições são realizadas espontaneamente no ato em que se toca, não havendo pré-estabelecimentos a priori, com o intuito da surpresa da música a ser criada no exato instante. É um processo voltado para a liberdade intuitiva do momento da criação, sem restrições e preconceitos mas com interações, idéias, trocas, experimentações e energia.

ABAETETUBA is a brazilian indigenous name (Tupi-Guarani) that means “a gathering of good people”.
Yedo Gibson and Antonio Panda Gianfratti, have been working with improvisation since 2000, they founded the group in 2004 in Sao Paulo by playing together with these musicians who had the same ideals and different experiences.
Its music has a wealth of influences and interests and is played on its own way with passion and energy, using traditional, folk and newly created instruments. In 2006 the group recorded in Brazil a CD with Marcio Mattos
